What is the best AR to use w/out Stopping Power and with the Grenade Launcher attachment?
I'm thinking it's either AK-47 or M16, but I've heard otherwise.
State opinions now.

The AK GL has a really slow reload time, so i like the other ones. But, you said no stopping power and M16 M4 and G36C aren't to good with them so I would use the G3. If ididn't want to use that I would use the AK I guess.

I don't mind the Skill 16 w/o SP, it still only takes 2 bursts.

Sonic Boom makes it ridiculously easy to "spawn-tube".

If you're playing HC, the answer is without question either the G3 (single shot, but one shot kill at any range), the AK47 (still a 1-shot kill at any range and fully auto, to boot, but gets a little spray-ey for me), or the M4 (it gets the full auto of the AK with the accuracy of the G3, but isn't a 1sk at longer ranges)
If you're playing SC... M16 w/ Launcher M4 w/ Launcher no perk 1 Overkill Steady Aim
M16 for CQC (still a 1-burst kill up to 1500 inches, and pretty good from the hip with SA). M4 for long ranges. Shared ammo = free bandolier, and four n00b t00bs per life to piss off the other team with.
If you're looking for an all-in-one gun, the AK47 is probably the best choice, since the launcher doesn't decrease its damage. It has the longest launcher to reload... but to compensate, it also pulls the launcher up the quickest of any assault rifle, meaning it has an advantage if you plan on firing just 1 grenade that offsets its disadvantage if you plan on firing two consecutively.

I like the Overkill thing, but I do prefer Sonic Boom for my Pro Pipe class.
The G3 has been made obsolete on the XBOX 360 because of the fire-rate cap.

I think you have to go with the AK. M4 will still take an extra bullet(s). Better sights on AK too.

everything bows to the M14 M16 is still good without it. AK is alright

M16 sucks without SP, and the M14's horrible irons and high recoil make me hate it unless I use SP for close and medium range one shot headshots.

M16 sucks without SP, and the M14's horrible irons and high recoil make me hate it unless I use SP for close and medium range one shot headshots. The M16's actually still a pretty quality gun in CQ (say, up to 750-1000 inches). It's still a 1-burst kill, and that close you're very likely to land all three bullets on target. It's pointless to even try firing at anything in the distance, but that's why you grab Overkill as your perk2 and pair with an M4 and turn into an ammo-sharing, quadruple n00b t00bing grief machine.

Call me crazy, but I like the G36C to be my noob-tube gun.
I don't know why, but that gun just feels right. I know on paper it seems silly to use, but I think it's great. I don't like the AK's slow ROF and bad recoil, and the semi-auto's are out of question because after the patch, they need stopping power. The M16 seems like a good choice, but it is better to be able to spray in CQC, although the M16 does have shotgun-esque capabilities, it is harder to use without SP.

The AK-47 is the best gun under whatever circumstances. Without Stopping Power and versus the M16, the choice becomes even easier because the M16 is hit harder by the loss of power than the AK-47 is.

forget the M4/g36 clones. spitballs suck.
M14 doesn't seem hurt by it much (if you're good enough to 1-2 shotting with it with SP youll likely still be 1-2 shotting)
still like the M16 better than the 47. its the same problem for the majority of ak47 players i face regardless: you can count on me hitting 4/6-6/6 of my first 6 bullets. you can't count on the majority of ak47 users on live to hit 3/6 bullets before i can do it
ammo add time is the same. if you're not big into sprinting to reload via your add-time then the M16 reloads faster (who would wait for a reload lmao!)

yeah, that is becaue you have a mouse... sorry but not everybody wants that advantage so stop with telling us about you "awesome" skills please in every post you write. It has nothing to do with your hit ratio... It is the discussion about the weapon here... I think the m14 is a good choise if you can handle it (I hate it) or the m4 is pretty good to without SP. (I use it often with Sillencer and UAV jammer)

its funny, when i pickup a controlle i stll use the same weapons on the same maps... the one big change youd think i would make (74u to mp5). i do that from time to time and STILL wind up going back to the 74u. mowing down doublekills in a split second with enough ammo to keep doing is peachy keen.

I never warmed to the 74 much, it always felt like an out of control 47 (the first gun I got good with). 47 is great w/0 stopping power but... burst, burst, burst! If you do, the recoil is nearly a non-factor. I have moved on to other guns now, but still come back occasionally. And Toys, I can't remember, but I feel like the 47 IS a 3 shot kill? Also Toys I will have to give the 74 another shot, just for you

you really should... I hated it, but now I LOVE it... just remember the recoil the thing makes on your screen is not the real recoil... just stay at your target (or where you think it is, because the weapon will block your sight) and you will kill them EASY, Killed 5 with one clip the other day, never came further then 3 with the MP I guess...

I much prefer the 74 to the MP5, unless I am just doing CQC. The 74 combines the mid-range goodness of an AR with the ADS movement speed and somewhat high ROF of an SMG, plus it has great close range damage. It's basically an AR with a faster pace or an SMG with a slower pace.

werd that! if you dont need a silencer & you want to play SMG style 74u owns. you take that gun on wet works, vacant, bloc or district & youll get you some double kills & be able to engage people across the street in windows / cover that you wouldn't typically take a shot at with an MP5.
reasons to like/hate them all, but i just dont like most of the ARs without stopping power. just always seems to me (in practice) like you're giving up so much!

been playing the 74, didn't do really good, but that gun is occasionally really really gratifying, and I can imagine the better you get with it the more frequently those moments come.
