Can anyone else confirm experiencing what *seems* like sudden but temporary random increases in the ROF of automatic weapons?
I've had plenty of hours played in other COD titles, and have only experienced this on several occasions in MW3.
If so, is this some sort of effect that's related to lag?

I have noticed random drop in ROF in MK14 when I was trying to test the ROF and effect of RF with macro, so I was unable to get any solid number.

Ive noticed this alot recently whilst using the ACR. I can quite clearly hear it going up and down. I would bet it's connecting based since mine isnt very good. Was mostly using mk14 before this though so I cant confirm if its a recent phenomenon.

Have noticed this in every CoD on 360 since 4. Don't know what to make of it, other than it is an audibly faster/slower ROF for a short portion of time.

atleast i noticed inconsistent sounds when i fire it This. Although extremely rare, I too notice the occasional fluctuation of pitch/tone on the Xbox. I tend to hear it most with the P90. It's doubtful, but maybe the weapons have a different tone to add variety???

Happens very frequently when I use the ACR--generally the ROF increases after the first few bullets shot fully automatic. To be honest, I'd begun to think of it as a normal feature of the gun. Is my connection just that bad?

Is my connection just that bad? I have fast internets, and the ACR does this all the time to me. Can't say I've noticed it on other guns yet, but I thought some guns in the older games would occasionally do this. I'd like to see a definitive answer about this though.

The Ak47 in CoD4 did that a lot for me.

I remember the AK-47 in MW2 doing this... while I was host. It can't be connection based.

I remember the MP44 (and someone mentioned the M60) doing this as well.

I notice it constantly, as well as mobility fluctuations. It's all latency, but I never noticed it in any previous titles. Must have been some lag compensation changes.

Framerate. Maybe host synchronization too.
