How can I change the size of the minimap?

The perfect size for me would between the full size and the tiny regular version, is there a config tweak that would allow me to change the size?

in PC press "N" to change zoom levels and press "M" to full-screen the map.

This is the number one thing I wish BF3 devs would change: better minimap (one size between big and small) and better zoom levels.

Not to mention the minimap itself is just post-modern garbage which conveys very little information

I know exactly why it is like that. It was developed with console resolution of 720P in mind...

the worst is how the minimap resets every time you do just about anything (enter a vehicle, exit a vehicle, have a teammate enter or exit a vehicle you're in, respawn, etc). medium zoom, large map is superior for certain tank battles, and having it shrink every time my gunner jumps in and out to repair really sucks. /rant

Haha, I agree! It's bad enough that I have to maximize the map and zoom out every spawn, but also having to do it mid-play is horrible!
