What do you like more, the AK's greater damage and smaller idle amount, or the M4's lower recoil and higher ROF?
I like the AK when I don't need a suppressor, but when I need a suppressor I like the M4.
On a side note, it's funny that IRL the AK is less accurate than an AR-15 w/ a 16" barrel, but in COD it's the other way around.

well, the AK47 silence still has a faster TTK at close range, but if you look at it that way, youre better off silencing a SMG.
meh,
AK47 stock FTW!

Which isn't nearly as bad. I generally prefer the M4, just because I always prefer to go silenced, and because it's a lot more accurate over 2-3-4 shots, even with the faster idle. The AK-47 is probably an objectively better gun, I just love how silky smooth the M4 handles.

silencing an assault rifle isnt very smart in my opinion, you basically nerfing the long range damage, and the long range damage is what makes an assault rifle, an assault rifle...
make sense?

Robesh, the IRL argument is pointless because both guns are perfectly accurate at an infinite range when aiming down the sights. And IKONIG, a suppressed AR is still better for long range than a suppressed SMG, so there is definitely a reason to do it.

When using a silencer and shooting at ranges that drop the damage down to 20 any SMG is better than all the ARs except for the M4. Why? Fire rate. All the SMGs shoot at 800 RPM or more and the only AR that shoots faster than that is the M4 (the Semis once did, but not after patch 1.4 for consoles) Still: M4>>>>>AK-47 with silencer AK-47>>>>>M4 without silencer

What about the M16, M14, and G3? Not to mention that the Uzi and MP5 have quite a bit of recoil, and I just hate the 74u's irons.

ranged shooting depends on the player. AR's will handle better at long range with less intervention by the player to stay on target. imo silenced m16 is alright. if you're playing newbies it's retarded. if you're playing good players it's hard to tell if you ever pickup kills from being silenced VS noob-laser(m16 rds)ability to get on targets easier + max damage out alittle farther. ive got a friend (with a 4.56kdr rotflmao) that swaps between the noob laser(m16rds) and a silenced M16 on a bi-nightly basis. he never can decide if it's worth it. (ofcorse you get to that point it's the player. you could give him anything and he's game) not a big fan of a silenced G3 over a silenced M14. dont like the knife bug. (im not a knifer, im a sidestep & destroy, but its always nice to have the option!) not a fan of a silenced M4. really, not a fan of M4 at all in console VS some other AR's or SMG's. personally, feels like it tries to hard to work at too many things & doesn't excell at any of it. 30 Health Mode silenced M14 is good on medium/long range maps. non silenced AK47 vs M4. depends on if you like an iron sight Ak47 .

how can a M14 be better in 30 health then a G3? It's not that far-fetched. Someone might prefer the irons. Someone might like playing stealthy (which means silencers and knifing). Someone might use the M14 a lot in SC and prefer it in HC just because they're more used to it.
