Noob Laser Glitch?

Well, I know MW2 is around the corner, but lately I've been picking up alot of Skill 16s and I keep on getting a wierd glitch.

When the gun runs out of ammo it keeps the gun out and wont let me change. I can't melee. I can sprint, but I just sort of glide faster.

Can anyone tell me the reason this happens?

its happened to me 2 times

It happens when there's an amount of ammo left in the magazine that isn't a multiple of three. So if you have two bullets left, it'll fire them, but then won't be able to complete the burst. That's when this glitch occurs, I think.
