hey there bro ! I think that was interesting for u. This is .gsc RIP files which me and my mates extracted from .ff . (mw2 surely) there are not so much info , but it's better then nothing anyway www.filefront.com/14907839/mw2_gsc_rip_1.1.zipEnjoy ! I hope u give us some info about perks and some killstreaks vehicles (like ac-130, harrier, pavelow and etc.). We RIPped a .gsc about them... the weapon files contains into common_mp.ff and cannot be extracted from there. But we are trying...

Some interesting stuff indeed. Fantastic work.
The Sentry Gun has 1000 points of health. Explosives deliver 7x their damage against a Sentry. A Melee attack will instantly disable the Sentry. The Sentry has the potential to fire continuously for eight seconds. It recovers fully in four. If it "overheats" (by say, shooting a cool dude with a Riot Shield), it will take eight seconds.
There was going to be a "Tank" killstreak, a BMP or Abrams rolling around the map, but surely some of them weren't fit to house a vehicle like that.
Both Helicopters have 1500 health, but only the Pavelow has two anti-missile flares. There is a mention of the old BulletArmor, but there appears to not be any armor value listed - it may not be in use. Instead, they probably just increased health so players will get more use out of Stopping Power Pro. The Helicopter uses three of the four same old Threat Factors. Class Threat has been removed, presumably due to the Secondary Weapon diversity.
The Harrier that lingers has 3000 health. Luckily, lots of things will instantly kill it (or at least really hurt it. A Stinger, a Javelin and other killstreaks (like the remote missile and AC130 guns) will instantly destroy it. The RPG7 and AT4 will do whatever damage they do AND an extra 900 points of damage.
The AC-130 apparently only has 1000 health. This is probably offset by the fact that it has two flare countermeasures. It lasts 40 seconds. The three guns are all available. Though I don't have the ammo capacities (105mm is one shot, duh), they have a reload time of: 25mm = 1.5 40mm = 3.0 105mm = 5.0
The Care Package and Emergency Airdrop have a chance of dropping anything (except nukes). Care Package has a much higher probability of dropping other low-Streak hardpoints, while the Emergency Airdrop evens up the chances for nearly anything up to the EMP.
----- On perks and a few other things: Stopping Power is still good ol' 1.4x. If "ArmorPiercing" actually refers to Power Pro, then it increases damage against vehicles by 1.65x.
Danger Close is a bit stronger than it's predecessor, also a 1.4x increase (rather than 1.25).
The Blast Shield equipment cuts damage down to 0.45x, ensuring almost always surviving anything. A new rivalry is born - Blast Shield and Danger Close will cancel each other out.
"Hollow Point" and "Armor Piercing" are shown. They look like leftovers. The "Power versus Juggernaut" area was changed a bit and involved these two, though since there is no "armorvest" perk anymore, it probably is not implemented anywhere.
Commando Pro does indeed cut off all damage for any fall... and it appears that a lethal fall will make the player do a barrel roll instead.
Painkiller (referenced as "combat high") adds 200 health to the player. If the player suffers at least 101 points of damage while Painkiller is active... he gets a reward, I guess.
One Man Army allows the player to change his class on the fly in 6 seconds. One Many Army Pro cuts that down to 3.
----- The problem shotgun hitscans had with cars is dealt with, damage dealt to destructibles like barrels and cars are multiplied by four. Cars and barrels have the same health and "on fire" health drain as they do in COD4.
Things have changed quite a bit, almost everything has been moved around from where they used to be. _globalogic is pretty barren.

Good info Den. Any info on chopper health with the Chopper Gunner killstreak reward? Is it the same as the normal chopper?

Hey bro, don't mind if you could upload the common_mp.ff file? Maybe I could try to extract the weapons data.
Oh btw Den, got any luck with the FastFile Tool on mw2?

IW makes changes in some form to the files with each new iteration. As expected, the tool for a previous version would not work with the new one.
Just as for COD4 from COD2 and WaW from COD4, somebody would have to rewrite the program for the fastfile decompiler as well as the ".IWI to .DDS" converter (if the old one worked, I would have had all gun and perk and callsign and whatnot images posted already).

Painkiller (referenced as "combat high") adds 200 health to the player. If the player suffers at least 101 points of damage while Painkiller is active... he gets a reward, I guess. It's an XP-rewarding challenge, and it also results in unlocking the "completely numb" callsign title.

I dont think so. If SP fast files same for cod 4 (header now is 21 byte) and no more different, but .ff for multiplayer is shit now. All TEXT info we are extracted already. The weapon files is really hardcoded... btw Den. Regolith updates he's tool iwi2dds so u can make a perk chart as I think. All specialty images are "working" www.diegologic.net/CoD/iwi_x_dds.htm

www.sendspace.com/file/dsibj4Now with maps, guns and perks. Oddly, there were four maps that had a 1024 resolution while the rest were only 512. To keep it uniform (and those 1024 images were massive in filesize), I shrunk the 1024s to 512. Also, Ninja is only half the size of the other perks and Cold Blooded was 140 instead of 128. So... I made a crude upscale of Ninja and all perks are in 140x140 images.

Any news on the health of a UAV? UAV have 700 health and flying 30 second around the map. No armor or anti-missle flares 2Den Hey Den, about blastshield. Into .gsc a found a string : "perk_blastShield", 45. So all explosive damage multiplier to 0.45. But when I dumped dvar's , I found this : \perk_blastShield "65" So, truly is 0.65. It's more approach to Danger Close, because perk increased explosive damage for 40 percents (1.4x). Values almost equal

Yes, I've seen the differing numbers for Blast Shield in the Dvarlist and the gsc. I don't know which is true. Considering what Blast Shield can defend against, I'd suspect .45. Though since we don't know the power of the explosives, it could very well be .65.

One time I launched a Javelin at a UAV, and the UAV just sped away. ? The UAV's 30 seconds had probably expired and it was leaving the map. It's happened to me a couple of times. They're hard to get because they take a while to spot and they really don't last very long at all.

I'd like to throw in that due to the hitscan nature of the game you can hit UAVs with good old bullet throwing guns, and it has low health so an LMG will shred it, especially with SP+. However, the AC130 can't be hit by bullets.
