I heard a few things like, you can get out and hop back in if your MBT is at 100% to renew your armor... is that true?
I heard reactive armor had it's own health wheel and you point at it to repair it...
I also heard you gotta at least run a repair tool on the sides and rear to get all armor back...

You repair the side that the armor is busted on. Test it yourself. You've just got to basically run the tool over the side that's busted and it will be repaired along with the health of the tank.
The "get in and out of your tank and it repairs automatically" thing is a visual artifact. The tanks armor state does not change, it only APPEARS to have reactive armor on it, unless it's repaired.

the little diagram thingie in the tank is wonky as hell too. when someone repairs my reactive armor on a side the little hologram won't update.
