Does anybody know how to change your age? I just bought BF3 and when I try to use the multiplayer content it says "Player to young".
All though I am 16, my parents believe that I am mature enough to play it so it should be okay...

...what?
are you playing on a console or something? I've never heard of this age restriction type of thing on any kind of game...

It's an unusual EA thing in regards to LIVE accounts. If the player's account has an age under 18, it prevents online play.
As far as I've found, you'll have to make another XBOX LIVE account, embellishing the birth date.

Wow, surely it is up to the parents to decide whether their son is mature enough to play?
That's EA for you; bet they won't be offering a refund.

I never understood age restrictions like this. Children can just input a false birth date, and it's not like I ever use my real birth date for things like that. But anyway, I'd get a refund, then buy the game again and use a false age/date.

I feel so old, I'm going through a 1/3-life crisis. I remember when I had to lie about my age to access 18+ sites on the internet. But yeah, I can't believe EA would totally block your ability to play online. That seems like a severe oversight.

This is probably the greatest feature ever and I can only wish and dream that the Call of Duty franchise would implement it.

The only result of that would be more kids asking their mom for a second XBL account (the ones that didn't lie about it at first). Then, Micro$oft gets extra cash! Like Activision wasn't sucking their dicks anyway....

So I can't play? /Facepalm Not only that, you probably can't get your money back On a related topic I was surprised and annoyed at Target when buying MW3 and they asked to see my drivers license even though I'm an obvious geezer. I should have had a cranky old guy fit right on the spot. Another reason to order online, but in their defense there may actually be a "law".
