My standard practice in CoD4 was to hold onto my air support streaks till I'd died, and then call them in once I respawned to help get a new streak started. I was pretty excited about using the Chopper Gunner and/or AC130 this way, but I discovered something wierd. All the uncontrolled air support works just the way I'd expect it to, but the kills I get with Chopper Gunner don't seem to contribute to a new streak. No matter how many kills I get with it after I've called it, it doesn't start a new streak. The regular air support works fine, it only seems to be the controlled Air Support that does this.
Has anybody else noticed this?

killstreak rewards only work to increase streak if used in the life they are earned. so a hunner can be used to get a nuke for instance if used before death and you survive for the duration of the gunner (or until you get a 25 streak)

Ahh, well. I can see why they did that. It's not THAT hard to get six or seven kills with a chopper gunner, then you've got another Predator and another Airstrike to get to 11 again, and you're just hiding somewhere running killstreaks the whole match. I guess I'll start using them right away then. Thanks.
