I prestige for the PRESTIGE factor. It's in the gosh darn golly gee whiz name. I like making people 'wow', I like having huge goals to shoot for, I like having a bunch of flashy callsign material Even though you might be legit, there are so many hackers that are alrdy prestige 10 so no1 actually thinks that prestige ppl are better or for that matter thinks "wow". Bascally any1 with enough spare time can get Prestige 10. I've been using the nuke title & emblem for some time now cuz it's rare, but when more and more ppl get the "10 nukes" emblem I'll prolly change to something else. For prestige, I might get prestige 1 for a Riot Shield class spot, that's all.

On 360 there are pretty much 0 hackers, so yes, there is a wow factor, but it's more like "Wow that guy has no life" than it is respect.

i agree, i only use the titles that no one else has. I haven't seen anyone else using the How The? title!
titles = Braging Rights!

It's funny because you don't know what everyone thinks. Tons of people have made that prestige factor worth it for me.

I alternate between using a title that fits my playstyle (I like the "invisible" one now that I've got Cold Blooded Pro and Ninja Pro, and before I put my riot shield away because it was killing my k/d, I ran a Shield-flavored title/emblem at all times) and using a title that's just absurd and off-the-wall (currently using "Dishes are Done").

Prestigers earn respect. People who refuse to prestige to stay with their Model 1887s are weak, lol!

You should give Corel Painter a try, but frankly that's cool as hell. Do you have more art online?

I go down the prestige route under the umbrella of "eh, what the hell." Frankly, all unlocks and such are useless to me now anyways, because I've got my perfect callsign. As someone who wasn't big on prestiges in CoD4, I think they offer enough in this one to at least do it once. Lotsa nifty titles so far, and many of them aren't even particularly challenging (there's a challenge that's basically just "knife people" a few dozen times for a title, seriously) so you can get a bit more variety in your callsigns pretty easily.

I'm not quite clear on something. Your first time through the levels you have to unlock each group of challenges before you can complete any given one.
After you prestige I know you get a new category. Do you also get to do all the other challenges right away or do you have to unlock each group of them again at their respective levels? It would be a huge benefit to be able to do them right from level 1 considering some are really simple and would be completed many times over long before the level you get them at, and even the ones for weapons and things you don't have could be worked on via picking them up, using premade classes, and using copycat.
Normally those challenges are locked so you wind up having to repeat things to get them, which amounts to lost exp or rather faster exp after you've prestiged if they are unlocked.
Anyway, I was just wondering.
Also, what about the game types? Could I go ahead and jump into HQ at level 1 after prestige?
If you can do all the challenges, have more challenges, and can do any game type from the beginning it's sounding easier and easier to get back to 70 after a prestige. If those things are all true... heh

You definitely have to re-unlock challenges, and even the Prestige-added challenges aren't unlocked until the basic ones are at... level 5, I think? But then, like I said, many of the prestige challenges are pretty easy and amount to quick experience in the early levels. There are a few toughies, but most amount to things you'd do normally. Combined with the additional skill you may not realize you have since you started, the early levels breeze by.
Fairly sure gametypes are unlocked from the get-go, though.

Particularly nice is the weapon challenges that are prestige only. They stack with the normal weapon challenges, so when you get like 1000 kills on a gun, you end up getting 20,000 XP for it. I think the same applies for 500 kills, but I'm away from home and can't check.
But because of that, I've gotten up to the mid 40's on prestige using only the M4 and TAR, vs. how I used to just get 150 kills for 1000 xp and move on to the next weapon to prestige quickly in CoD4.

Quick note about the prestige challenges. I just hit second prestige and you keep the prestige challenges for the each weapon and the whole prestige category related mostly to killstreaks.
So if you get to 499 kills with a certain weapon then you prestige, you don't lose those kills and the next kill will get you the weapon title and XP.

Thats fantastic news L3GA espicially since we now neew 1000 headshots to complete haha that should keep us busy.
L3GA did u get a new custom class slot or do u need to get to 3rd or 4th prestiege?

You don't get a class slot with the 2nd prestige, but you do get one with the third prestige. No clue about beyond that, but I'm willing to bet that it's the exact same as it was in WaW.

I'm super glad to know we don't have to get 1000 headshots restarted every prestige... Not like we can't boost it if we're really that worried though. Nuke titles would look good for flashy callsign crap except for the fact that you can boost them in FFA with a friend without any skill.
Unfortunately, I don't see any benefit other than titles and emblems and the rotating rank for hitting 10th. But unfortunately the #1 bad insult on xbox is that I have no life because I can camp with my friend and we can get 5:1 or flawless consistently when we play together and we can do consistently well. So getting high prestige means you have no life apparently.

@dumdum: It has nothing to do with prestige; in my experience the #1 insult across all the internet (#1 in both amount of usage and stupidity) to someone better at anything than the person saying it is 'no life'.
Honestly I've tired of talking with morons to the point where I have completely unbound my chat keys, including voice chat. If I want to talk to (a) friend(s) I'll do it over Steam.
