Seemed that way at a friends house, but I have such a thick, deep accent that it can't really pick me up. Apparently my team think I say less than a Pokémon Master.

Do you have the PC version Den? I want to get it because it looks awesome, but if the PC version is just a shitty port I'll get the XBox version. The controls are my main concern. Do they work well on a keyboard?

The PC version is indeed suffering from some poor porting. Not a surprise, the development team has no experience with PC and SEGA has only recently started porting lots of their games to PC.
The "Screen Size" option from consoles is still there (and at a low default) as though PC monitors have to deal with overscan. My 16:10 monitor has some letterboxing because Binary Domain is 16:9 aspect ratio only.
Very nasty thumbstick style acceleration on the mouse, forced to start slow and speeding up the longer you turn. I got used to it, but I can't turn on a dime and make precise snap shots like a mouse would allow with absolute movement.
The voice recognition is spotty for most people regardless of platform. My many voices rarely scored a proper recognition and the game always picks up the subtlest bit of audio as "fuck", ironically the one phrase that I can never get recognized in the voice testing menu. Amusingly, my Kermit the Frog impression seemed to get the best results. I wish I could play through using voice, but it is simply too strict, so I relegated to use only the simple command menu.
Also, the game runs very well at maximum settings (unfortunately not a lot of options for graphic settings in the config) but since there is a LOT of debris and particles due to the very high attention to detail and the physics on the robot destruction, some large shootouts and certain areas/enemies cause the frame rate to drop when lots of robot stuff breaks at the same time.
Thankfully, though it defaults to showing XBOX controls for HUD indicators, the config menu has the option for changing button displays to keyboard displays.
Even despite those issues, it was by far one of the best singleplayer action games I've played in a long time. Just from the bosses alone. Worthy of multiple playthroughs, especially because of Consequence and Trust levels changing scenes and the ending.
If they were to patch the look acceleration, that alone would be enough for me to put it among my favorite singleplayer experiences.
Even the multiplayer is okay.

Well that's a shame. I got my hopes up when I found out that the PC version was being released a month or so after the console version because I thought were taking the time to make a good port for PC. I also have a 16:10 monitor so the display might get on my nerves a bit. I prefer just picking commands from a menu so I'm glad SEGA added the option to play with or without voice. The mouse acceleration sounds like a real pain in the booty, so I might just resign myself to using a wired XBox controller until they patch it. Of course the game just came out a few days ago, so here's hoping we get a patch.

This game was just made and sent to die. No marketing at all and the bad boxart isn't going to help either
I guess I'll pick this up when it has inevitably bombed (or has it already?)

Apparently it did not sell well on consoles, only 20,000 copies. The lack of marketing combined with it being released in the dumping grounds month of game releases AND it being eclipsed by several particular super hyped games released a while later surely contributed to all of that.
It isn't even in the top 20 sellers on Steam either, though again no marketing plus poor controls from a port.

Worth every penny.
Too bad starting a new IP in this market is increasingly hard unless you are a well-known developer. Yazuka only has a niche market too. Still, only selling 20000 copies is pretty poor. I hope CS1 can recover.

* FOV options have been added in the Configuration Tool for Aiming and Normal views. * Fixed Configuration Tool crash when modifying options for DirectInput control pads. * Restored missing Controller Sensitivity options to Configuration Tool. * Added basic keyboard and mouse navigation to the menus. * Updated mouse sensitivity; mouse aiming should generally feel more comfortable now. * Added Volume option in the Configuration Tool. * Changed the Screen Size setting to be 100% by default. * Changed the default button prompts to the keyboard icons. * Fixed a crash on game exit.
That'll do, Binary Domain. (mouse control is still a little slippery, frame rate drops cause inconsistent look sensitivity)

Awesome, I'm finally buying it because it's on sale on Amazon for $10. Looking forward to playing it when I get home.
