Aparently when you have the care package cannister equip, you move and run much faster. dunno exact number but it seem like 120-130% movement speed O.o
Also, that care package get that annoying infinite package glitch -_-

Yeah I saw some guy doing this in the estate cabin...he was diving across the room stabbing ppl. The range on melee in this game is stupid, now add commando and lag and your getting stabbed from 20 ft away. The shotgun was the only reliable way to put him down.

Let the abuse begin, funny stuff...cant wait to play games where everyone is running around doing this (sarcasm). Yeah the guy I saw doing this would just charge through bullets...I usually only had time to get off 1-2 shots, hence the shotgun use. Any idea how much care package or lightweight increase speed? Im just wondering if cold blooded instead of lightweight would still be effective for this.

They (care package marker and lightweight) don't stack, do they?
If not, if you have both, which takes precedence?
I take it the same applies for the emergency airdrop marker?

They stack, that's what makes it so super awesome. if i remember right, lightweight it 110% movement speed, what is next to nothings care package seem much more. I quote Den: "10% is signifcant". And he's right, compare SMG and LMG speeds. LMG is 12.5% slower and you feel like a snail.

Stacking has been tested? I think Den said something about how Lightweight just sets movement speed to 110% of base, but it wasn't a multiplier for the speed dictated by your equipment, so it's the same speed whether you've got a riot shield or an SMG. If that's the case, it seems odd that the marker would be a multiplier.

10% is sort of significant. Technically speaking, how movement speed affects your score can be hard to predict, simply because sometimes you might get somewhere too early or too late AND CoD is very fast paced, so a fraction of a second can be important. Moving quickly is important to my playstyle because I rush a lot, but I still don't like Lightweight. Marathon is considerably better if you know when not to sprint, and I find that people with Marathon and Lightweight don't outpace me by much during the SnD spawn rush.

The biggest advantage of running Lightweight is not the 10% movement speed, but rather the ability to sprint 100% of the time. Not in the same way as Marathon (although that goes great too) - by cutting the sprint/aim down to a fraction, you can safely sprint around corners and still be able to win a firefight whereas without lightweight you will die as you take too long to fire your weapon after sprinting.
It also presumably applies the 10% speed boost to the sprinting, so if sprinting were 200% speed LW would make it 220%. Combined with allowing you to run all the time without dying, marathon for actually running all the time, and climbing over shit faster, you become blazing fast.

Sprinting is most likely 1.5x, just like previous CoD games.

hmm, after running comando + care package I found out it does not make commando --> comando pro. and my knife distance does not really seem to be bigger... have any of you discovered this? does it actually not work with commando?

Ummmm.... wtf are you talking about? Do you mean that knife kills with the smoke out don't count toward the Commando challenge?
