I think semtex are stronger, which do you think is better? Neither... C4. It doesn't go very far, but it goes far enough, it's got higher damage, and you can use it tactically (put it on an objective). With that said, if I don't have C4, I'd definitely go with semtex. The frag grenades bounce and roll so much that they're too unpredictable, and they seem to do the same damage as semtex, despite their unpredictability... If they do more damage than semtex, it's a small amount. Because semtex is more precise, I usually get more kills when spamming semtex at objectives and around corners than with frag grenades. The only benefit of frag grenades is that they can go farther, bounce off of walls (intentionally I mean), and they can be cooked at close range... But when it comes to cooking, semtex's fuse is so short that cooking a frag grenade isn't really beneficial except at really close range, at which point you're better off just trying to stick the person, which frags cannot do.

I like them both. Frags are my favorite in the urban maps, because you can bank them around corners and up stairs. Semtex is my favorite in the more open maps, because it's a lot more accurate. I prefer claymores to both, though.

I like frags for long nade throws (zeus/over buildings) and bank shots, but overall semtex gets me more kills. I'm gonna try c4 and see how i like it later tonight. Since it is an attachment do you throw it with the grenade button, that would be nice and quick.

Since it is an attachment do you throw it with the grenade button, that would be nice and quick. You throw it with the grenade button, then detonate it with the grenade button. As in COD4, you can also quickly detonate it by double tapping the reload button (so you can switch to your gun and then just double tap reload). This is especially useful if you have scavenger + C4, because with those two together, if you only detonate with RB, you'll find you're often picking up blue packs and throwing C4 accidentally when you want to detonate the OTHER C4.

They nerfed frags to hell and back - even if it lands right in front of your feet it won't kill you. Presumably they did this because using grenades took skill and things that take skill can't be effective otherwise noobs will start to cry again. Therefore definitely semtex. Not nearly as effective as frags used to be in CoD 4 because enemies can avoid them but I guess we'll have to make do with it.

Out of curiousity, does anyone actually know the damage radius of the frag vs. the semtex?
