I just got a good deal on a blu ray surround sound system on Black Friday... But I just set it up tonight. And it's really good.
I noticed with MW2 that it sounded a bit "echoey", like there was all this ambient noise going on all at once that much of it was indiscernible. A lot of the conversations and stuff over the radio I couldn't comprehend because it sounded so distant, overpowered by other sound effects going on.
To a lesser extent, I noticed this with WAW, but not with the first MW. With MW2, they seemed to have optimized it for surround sound\turtle beach, so on regular stereo, the quality is shitty.

MW2 seems to be optimized for headphones of all types in my experience. Playing it in the home theater makes the sounds sound light and airy. Headphones create a much better experience.

However it is much harder to 'soundhoar*' in MW2 than in MW or WaW without Sitrep Pro - which is a lot harder to get than Ninja Pro - believe me!
N.B. The correct spelling is censored to whore.
