This has probably happened to you: You call in a care package... And then it bounces\rolls\slides and kills you. Sometimes, it looks crazy.
I've learned to try to toss the smoke grenade on a flat surface and to always stand UPHILL from where it lands, but this doesn't always work.
Any other tips to avoid getting flattened?
I hope in the update that the fix the cartoon-like physics of the care package.
IRL, don't military air drops have mini-parachutes to stop people from getting clobbered?

Yeah i made the mistake of standing IN the red smoke. Got clobbered in the head. Then my package got stolen. In the scrapyard i threw the marker up against the column for the crane or whatever is there in the corner between A and B on domination. Needless to say, it got dropped on top of the catwalk and couldn't get it. Its almost a pain in the ass to collect sometimes, if you die, you can kiss that package goodbye.

quick thing i have noticed is when you use the emergency airdrop, the direction you are facing when you throw the smoke is the direction the plane will ENTER the map and the first one will drop right on the smoke and the last one will end up about 30-40 feet (approx.) away
once i learned the direction thing i found i always get all 4 of them even in tight areas. and remember they dont add to killstreak so its ok to wait til its safe. (i hate losing those things)

So it you'd throw it almost straight down so to speak and didn't move, the first package would hit you and the others would land behind you?

Once I found out you could control the direction of Emergency Airdrops, they became my favorite killstreak reward.

Yea I realized I should have been more clear after rereading the post. If you are facing west . The plane will enter from the east (from behind you if you don't move) and fly to the west.
Plane faces the same direction as you basically was what I wanted to say
