Some things I've noticed can't be shot through. If people could say the ones they know it would help my frustration. The only one I can remember specifically is the Forklifts. The crack in the middle looks like a great place to snipe out of, but stops bullets instantly despite there being nothing there.

The rails on stairs . Even not through their emptinesses. You can shoot through the huge pillars on Underpass, though xD .

Grouped barrels, I think
Can I use this thread to complain about FMJ/Deep Impact not being good enough? Ahem... FMJ/Deep Impact is not good enough.

Grouped barrels, I think Can I use this thread to complain about FMJ/Deep Impact not being good enough? Ahem... FMJ/Deep Impact is not good enough. FMJ is fine. It was good enough to be a perk in MW1 (a frequently used perk, at that), and now it's available in MW2 as an attachment. Perks are more valuable than attachments, so FMJ is now a decent perk but with a much lower opportunity cost. There might be better attachments out there (Silencer, Grip, HBS, maybe Thermal), but there's nothing wrong with FMJ. It's certainly better than the Holo, ACOG, or Akimbo.

Its a pain in the ass to unlock it for EACH gun. Scrambler is useless, remove FMJ and give me Deep Impact!

FMJ is pretty useful hence it makes a pretty decent attachment to unlock. Silencer and Thermal are sort of niche attachments tied to your specific tactics. Grips are LMG specific, of course and even on them are essential for some LMG's and more of a luxury on others. Thus HBS and FMJ are the only two truly universal attachments. There is practically no downside to either of them. The only downsides I can think of are that the HBS blocks a little of your view so that if you're aiming up at a window you might not see someone come out down below in some cases. As for FMJ, um... You might shoot through the walls behind your target and let additional enemies know where you are? That's more than a little bit of a stretch. lol In practical terms I can't see any downside to FMJ other than it takes up an attachment slot.
Perks are generally more useful than attachments, but Perk 3 might be an exception. Sure commando for knifing foo's, ninja for stealth, and steady aim for shotguns, but I generally find Perk 3 perks to be kind of a yawn. So if it got moved back to Perk 3 it would be much easier to use. It would consequently get used a lot, too. Bringing back the old SP+DI dichotomy.
I dunno, part of me wants it to be easier to get and use, but I kinda like having a variety of Perk 3 choices. If it were back at Perk 3 I would feel hard pressed not to use it, as I did in W@W.

Deep Impact Pro would give any gun you use it with RifleBullet (body penetration)

No I didn't. All the reflex sights, RDS, Holo, and ACOG are nice, but ultimately don't offer any functionality you can't do without unless your weapon has terrible iron sights, and most do not. I use the RDS to unlock Holo and ACOG to unlock Thermal and then I pretty much take them off and use the Tube, Silencer, HSB, Thermal, or mebbe FMJ. The reflex sights just generally are not as useful as those attachments once you learn to use the iron sights. Thermal doesn't get relegated to that on account of it is A thermal and B a scope and not a reflex sight.
