I selected a regular HC S&D and somehow got thrown into an 18 player HC S&D match. I though for a second that I might have joined Ground War, but when I read the title at the top of the screen it said HC S&D. I didn't hook up my mic to ask anyone about it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this. I played 3 or 4 games, and wouldn't mind finding it again. I'm thinking it was a glitch, but then again how could that happen?

Might have been someone doing the private match glitch that turns it into a public game by swapping host with a friend (and lots of other crazy things, dunno how they found the damn glitch with all the hoops you gotta jump through to do it).

I don't mind the idea of being able to do some custom public games except for the boosting. Boosting cheapens the rewards of earning things on your own. You and a friend boosting headshots or whatever... what's the point it's not like you earned that? Of course you can already do boosting in cage match too... meh...
Cheaters will always prosper. I don't find it any fun getting rewards for not doing the work. The same reason I decided not to just use both controllers to boost L4D achievements with splitscreen VS matches. It's no fun, no sense of accomplishment. But other people getting the same rewards the easy way definitely cheapens the reward... meh.

no no, i mean literally rapid fire, not stopping to change classes, just non-stop pro tube spam. in fact, after the first 2 games like this, i made a class with a pro tube and tried it myself in the third game. it was simply a matter of switching to the tube, holding down the fire button and never running out of ammo. really bizarre.

I've joined a match like that as well, in a Demolition game. The hack apparently gives everyone in the room infinite ammo and no reload. Everyone usually goes for grenade launchers, but the non-akimbo Ranger is also insane (run around shooting your ultra-AA12 against the tubers), the Javelin (constant rainbow of death) as well as the AC-130 (rapid-fire 105 mm cannon!). It's actually pretty fun and fair, since everyone can do it. But it does get a bit old after a few matches. |

ok this is happening in every domination game i join now, whether it's by picking domination or ground war. not only pro tubes but all launchers including javelins are infinite ammo and rapid fire. also applies to ac130s... which is pretty funny. but seriously i can't play domination without this nonsense happening. anyone else seeing this?
edit: i see, demolition as well. it does get old really fast though, i hope it gets fixed soon.

ill explain what it is.. i wrote this on another board
the bad thing is it isnt a glitch or a gamesave mod, they actually manipulate code (if i remember right) by doing some jtag hack and free60 hack on their consoles and doing some weird thing with the game code. so its not ever gonna happen on ps3, just 360 and pc. itll probably be fixed soon tho, when the instructions are released (late tonight/tomorrow)
if you get into a game with this happening then you become infected with it until you reset your system. if you host a game after being infected you will infect everyone in the game and the hack/mod will be in that match as well.. this is how the hack/mod has spread throughout the online

Wow, a viral infinite ammo hack... Might be fun for a private match with friends for a bit, but definitely don't want this in all my games, particularly public ones.
