does the AC-130 last for 30seconds or 40seconds? im pretty sure its 30 but on den's mw2 blog it sais 40seconds. is that a typo?

The page says it is the same, but I think it is wrong. I also do not think all helicopters have flares since I know I shoot down quite a few in one shot. I'm pretty sure only the CG and Pavelow have flares (and even then, only one each - not two as the page says for pavelow)

ya pavelow and chopper gunner get one flare each and ac-130 gets two and chopper gunner lasts double the ac-130

I mean same duration for Chopper Gunner...
Pavelow have 2 flares, Chopper gunner have 1 flare (may be I was wrong) and AI controlled cobra dont have any flares
duration is 40 seconds for CG and 60 seconds for PaveLow and cobra. Check scripts for info

AC130 - 40 seconds, 2 flares Chopper Gunner - 60 seconds, 1 flare Pavelow - 90 seconds, 2 flares Cobra (7 kills) - 60 seconds Harrier - 60 seconds (I think.)

I don't know where people are getting these wacked out numbers of flares at. Try using a Stinger once in a while, yea? I've shot down over 200 aircraft (mostly in FFA) and this is what my experience tells me: Predator Drone (UAV, Counter-UAV) - No flares Harriers - 0 flares, however missiles can miss randomly. Cobra Attack Chopper - 0 flares Pavelow - 1 set of flares Apache - 1 set of flares AC130 - 2 Sets of flares purple: I don't know what the hell that is, but it doesn't feel like a timer because it never ends at 0 for me.

The AC-130 will only flare twice during its orbit, but will flare repeatedly as it flies away when it finishes firing. It doesn't really matter because you can't shoot at it at that point anyway.

I think the reason why CG lasts a bit longer is because it starts way outside the map and flies in, but the AC-130 is pretty much in position when you call it. I would assume that they have roughly the same killing time.

It's totally 60 seconds, no more than 10 to start getting hits. I think on some maps, I can get hits almost immediately.

Like the other helicopters (which take about ten seconds to arrive and ten to exit the map), the Gunner's use timer doesn't start until it reaches its first patrol node (which in that video took nearly twenty seconds, at least ten seconds before the guy could even shoot anyone).

if you shoot the pavelows and chopper gunners close enough with a stinger, the missile is fast enough to hit before it can deploy anything, there is no way around 130's 2 flares since it's so far up in the sky, unless you get lucky(extremely) with two RPG7 shots

I have no clue what the actual HP values are. Stinger and Javelin will both kill anything they hit, AT-4 won't kill harriers, maybe not Pavelows. No clue for RPG as I've never used it for anti-air.

The AC-130 has a timer of 0:40, but it always stops at 0:05 when I use it.
