Not sure if this would be useful, but I use it when I end up in a situation where I'm in close range firing from the hip with my FAMAS or M16.
It's rather simple. Fire (and hold fire) the burst and double tap weapon switch. It should fire four consecutive shots quickly without the normal delay between bursts.
Also, this can be used to fire the FAM16 in single shot. After firing the first burts, continue to hold the fire button, and double tap switch weapons. Each time you do this, it will fire only one bullet.

then again... up close one burst (3 bullets) is a kill anyway. Not sure I would want to manually feed single bullets rather than shooting another full burst (unless playing hardcore).

Well, if you're in close range with a FAM16, you're probably screwed, since their hip fire is awful. Therefore you probably won't get all bullets from a burst into the person.

M16/Famas has the same hipfire as the other Assault Rifles, and if you land your shots then you will outgun any other Assault Rifle unless he headshots you with the FAL, which has never happened to me before.

It's very situational though. I mainly use it in one of those "oh shit" situations. I feel better knowing that I threw out one extra bullet just in case two from the original burst do not connect. Not recommending it to anyone, but perhaps someone will find a use for it, or it'll lead to something else being found.

it actually might be useful to use close range because m16/famas is a 2 hit kill with SP close range..
so hitting with 2 of them with four rather than 3 would give you a 16.66% better chance of a kill...

Except, you know, it's burst fire. If you don't kill in the first burst your performance rapidly deteriorates. And just like any other assault rifle, you're not likely to land the first 3 bullets when spraying unless you have Steady Aim.

I actually kill quite fast with my FAM16 in CQ. It's not great for run and gun, but just because enemies are close isn't any great problem and with SP you only have to connect 2 bullets, not all three, making hipfire more viable.
I often will hipfire and ADS at the same time and get the sights up just in time to see my enemy fall over dead, but when he doesn't he's only a trigger pull from it. If he's a cold hearted killer he might pop me, but you'd be surprised how often you can drop a burst on someone and make them shit themselves long enough for you to ADS and put 3 consecutive rounds right through their head, though I don't really need a second burst all that often.
Also if you are using cover you can duck behind it when you see someone and ADS first, aiming about where they should be, and then jump out and nail them. Don't sell the FAM16 short at CQ, it's at least as good as any AR and depending on your play style, possibly better. For me it's the preferred AR for CQ. That doesn't mean it outperforms SMGs, MP, or Shotguns. Even a Pistol can be deadly in CQ. But for an AR it's extremely viable unless you rely on spraying for CQ. I don't. I still place each burst right where I want it, but I usually do that faster than most people spray and much faster than most sprayers hit unless they are deliberate enough to line up the first shot before spraying.
Of course I also tend to use iron sights on mine which ADS very fast.

i used a other method for my weapon chart ; ) fire one burst. in the burst double tap weapon switch. now u can shoot 1 bullet, but one time (u don´t need hold fire)
