Hi I recently found a liking to mmorpgs I've played a few mmorpgs like forsaken world or Perfect world and it was just awful. I found Star Wars the Old Republic and loved it but I don't want to be tied to one game so I ask any suggestion?

I found Star Wars the Old Republic and loved it but I don't want to be tied to one game so I ask any suggestion? WoW is a good one, but also easy to get addicted to. I would suggest avoiding MMOs if you don't want to get tied to one game as most MMOs require that to be your only game if you want to get anywhere.

In your opinion is WoW worth the money or is there a trial to where I can try it?

In your opinion is WoW worth the money or is there a trial to where I can try it? You can play free up to Level 20. From there you can decide whether it's worth buying it and then its four expansions to get into the endgame. For that you might want to wait for a sale or something. I don't know, WoW is a huge time suck.

Neverwinter has gone Open beta just recently. It has virtually unlimited content since players can design their own dungeons and quests.
It's alright.

It's definitely more like D&D, it is more action game-like with active attacks and evasion. Being based on the Fourth Edition groundwork, each class is based on D&D 4E's roles of Defender, Striker, Leader and Controller. The "trinity" exists more as a passive result of those four roles taking part in battle. It feels like it is more successful in pulling off what Guild Wars 2 wanted to do since the controls are more suited to action (whereas in GW2, each class is mostly suited for one or two of the trinity roles, but all of them can pretty much go DPS). The core difference I'd say would be that where GW2 basically dropped the need for Tanks and then varied their level of healing and DPS, Neverwinter varies classes' levels of and types of tankiness while dropping the need for raw DPS, making the fight less about killing the enemy as quickly as possible and more about how you affect enemies in combat. Like the Cleric. A Leader class. One of his primary attacks instills an effect on the enemy that heals allies when they hit that particular enemy. So a Cleric as a leader would be the one calling targets with that attack without even needing to say anything, players just spot the spell effect and go for that guy. He's the "healer", sure, but his skills are more about guiding the focus of combat and supporting everyone at all times. Everyone, not just a tank or people in the red. There's the Control Wizard, his primary attack is the ray of frost that slows and can even freeze an enemy. Many of his later skills instill other effects that change the behavior of the enemy, not just lowering some attribute. He's got the crowd control skills. The two Fighter archetypes, Great Weapon and Guardian, both Defenders, one using evasion/mobility skills and herding-type area attacks to push enemies around, the other gathering up enemies and keeping them in place. The controls are actually similar to that of DDO in which you are always in control of the camera and you are actively attacking, not tab targeting. Your whole class arsenal is in reach of your resting hand placement compared to GW2 just being the same slow tank control with pressing skillbar keys that stretch across 1234567890 by default. Your main attacks are on the mouse buttons and your Encounter Powers are on QER, special ability on Tab, super skills on 1&2 and quick use items on 345. Also, the fact that virtually every action you take plants you in place until it is completed is a great positive, I believe it improves the action because you need to commit to what you're doing, and it gets rid of that ridiculous floaty jumping circle strafe dancing. It makes crowd control a viable part of combat, so classes like the Control Wizard and Great Weapon Fighter actually can control the enemy by moving them around and blocking them, not just with some arbitrary mechanic like Aggro (which the Guardian uses, but whatever, he has a big shield). It may be a F2P MMO that I'll try out for more than one weekend. By the by, I've got a Dwarf Cleric on the Dragon server.

Atlantica held my attention for a year. You control 9 warriors of your choosing at one time (3 rows of 3). The game allowed you to team up with 2 people making for some intense 27 on 27 battles.

Runescape. Once you hit ~40 on most of your stats then it's almost necessary to buy membership. Great game.

It's good they chose to stay with Best Edition. I mean, Fourth.

IMO "The holy quaternity" doesn't sound very catchy.

As with Den, I'm playing Neverwinter at the moment. I hit 60 on my GWF on Dragon last night. It's a pretty fun game. I really like the combat, even though you are rooted in place during animations (which, I think, is a horrible idea on melee classes along with channels/cast timers on melee abilities). It almost feels like an Action RPG ala Diablo or Torchlight because of how many enemies you'll typically end up fighting at once. Numbers flying everywhere. The Foundry system is an awesome idea and I won't be surprised if it's implemented in future games.
