Does thermal increase hit boxes?

I heard somewhere it did. Does thermal increase the size of the hit boxes? What about if im not sighting in? This is with a sniper rifle but i think it would be the same as any other gun in this game.

It does not. It zooms in and reduces your sensitivity when you're zoomed in so it's almost the equivalent when you scope in on a distant target. But that's all it does and when not scoping in it pretty much does nothing.

IMO it doesn't add any additional kick to the weapons (like the ACOG does)

Actually I believe that most weapons tested have shown increased recoil with the ACOG in shot group testing on walls.

To my experience with snipers, they are just unnacurate when quick scoping and/or moving when using a thermal.

I agree. I've noticed a lot of misses with the Thermal scope.

This seems more pronounced if taking a quick shot as against holding your breath to take the shot.

When quick-sniping I've noticed very little difference between the thermal and acog (which is not good).
