Does anyone know which is faster reloading your gun with SoH or switching to your secondary pistol? Like does anyone have the exact time it takes for the two?

depends. IF you perfectly utilize the reload cancel and are using a gun with super fast reload time like the m4 it would be close, but the time between each should be negligible. Pulling out akimbo .44s should give you a better chance to win a fight in a cqb situation, so it really depends on the gun.

So lets use the M4 for example (since it has a fast reload time), if I use the M4 with SoH it would still be slower to reload then switch to my pistol?

Yes it would.
Outside of reload cancelling the pistol switch is quicker every time, and even with it, the difference is not that great.
The circumstances may also help dictate the choice. If you've ended up in a CQB situation using an AR, then you'd more likely want to be using a shotgun/pistol/mach pist, so therefore switching to your secondary is likely to be the quickest and most appropriate.

weapon switch to a handgun is what...? 0.5 seconds? cancel add reload for the fastest weapons (M4, ACR, M16) is what....? 1.1 seconds. Most weapons have ~1.8 seconds. SoH cut that in half I think.
Switch to a handgun for the win.
...then again, I normally get a launcher on my Class I pack Slight of Hands on (except my sniper)

akimbo magnums or deagles with steady aim??? yes otherwise, reload and fire LoL .44 Magnums, but what does that have to do with Slight of Hand?

I think what he's trying to say that if you have akimbo .44s/deagles with steady aim, switch to them. If you don't, just reload because even though it takes longer it'd be a lot more powerful than any single pistol.

Actually I believe Toysrme was timing the weapon switch to pistols on recorded video at somewhere between 0.2 and 0.16 seconds, it's lightening fast.
On top of that at close range all of the pistols do very nice damage equal to or greater than whatever AR you might be using making them at least as good in close quarters if not better than your AR. And if you just aren't a fan of semi auto there's always the machine pistols which have only a slightly slower switch time, but remain quite deadly in close quarters.
I think the rule of thumb should be if range is long grab some cover or go prone and reload and if range is short then switch. Medium ranges are dependent on which secondary weapon you are using and how proficient you are with it at medium ranges.

I find switching to the pistol very effective... I like the M9 and USP with silencer, akimbo, or tac knife, they are all very useful attachments. If you don't do well with the pistols, try playing the FAL, it gets you used to firing semi auto.
