Knowing this places' generally infinite wisdom, I shall ask thee this question: do you recommend them?
I'm thinking of buying these things, which are extensions to the thumbsticks on your controller. Supposedly it improves your play a great deal. Only real downside is that one can become way too dependable on them, and there's no guarantee they make any difference. If nothing else, I can watch a Youtube hero video and get a 10% discount.
What are your thoughts? I feel like my KSG could use more Oomph! to it.

I highly doubt they improve play by a great deal, but they probably do boost your precision an okay amount.

I'd say give them a try because they're cheap, but I find it too difficult to reach for A when I need to, and you know how much jumping is awesome sauce in BO2, it's basically as effective as drop shooting for cod4.

They are cheap enough that you can try and see if you like them. I used them until I got my Onza which didn't work with it at all. Do they help? Well, they don't actually change the control sticks, meaning you still have an even larger now deadzone where you can move and nothing will actually happen. A better investment is a better controller (whatever Razer's new one is called is probably the best, unless you get a XIM to use a mouse/keyboard instead). At least that's my opinion on things.

The left stick one is unnecessary and can actually get in the way sometimes...that said... I've only tried them a few times. There is a slight improvement in precision... but meh...
They are cheap. Try em' out.
Also, Aphor is right. A better controller is probably a better investment. I would have bought a scuff for my 360 if the PS4 wasn't right around the corner.

They're nice if you've got bigger hands

I have them and basically hate playing without them now. The benefit for me is two fold as near as I can tell. First you have a much wider range of motion so you get far far greater sensitivity. I think I was using sensitivity 6 in MW2 and went up to 10 immediately once I started using these. Takes some getting used to dat turn speed but once you do your control normals out.
The second benefit is leverage. I've always found xbox thumbsticks a bit stiff. With these they just glide wherever you steer them, nice and neat.
Definitely have to see how they fit your hands. I guess for some people it's too much. Personally I find it far more comfortable with them because I'm less cramped up on the pad, it sort of opens up my palms a bit more which I also found conducive to claw grip so I could hit face buttons without releasing the right stick. Results will vary. (Finally just bought a Razer Sabertooth which pretty much makes claw grip unnecessary with it's 6 extra programmable buttons... Almost want to keep using claw grip anyway. heh)
Now, having said that, I should mention that I've only found them to truly shine in CoD and Halo games. The reason is not obvious... until you start using them and bumping up the sensitivity on all your games. Most games do not have a finely tuned sensitivity curve, and most have a horrifically huge dead zone. With Freeks you'll notice those dead zones.
Also as personal preference I actually do use them on both sticks. The precision isn't exactly necessary on the left stick, though I do kinda appreciate it at times just because. Also I just like that it's more symmetrical, just one looks weird. But more importantly I just find it more comfortable.
