If a M240 does 30 damage a shot, and a Pave Low has 3000 health, is this not 100 shots to take one out (without SP as you need cold blooded to shoot a chopper)? I tried this yesterday and fired most of two clips into one (so 150 bullets or so) and it didn't die. Can someone test this?
Also how much health does the harrier have? M240 + cold blooded probably kills them just as quickly (3-4 seconds) as the stinger if they have 1500 health

Yes you can, in fact, all of the Killstreaks that can be shot down with Missles can also be taken out with bullets, except for the AC-130. But just like in CoD4, the Chopper probably needs to recieve a certain amout of damage before taking full bullet damage.

Choppers take 0.3x damage from bullets It doesn't work like the CoD4 Chopper? I expected that it would.

Using bullets on Harriers or Choppers is a waste of time unless you want Cold Blooded Pro.

I think it took me nearly 2 full clips of RPD to take down a Harrier. I believe that I was using Stopping Power Pro at the time.

It seems to only be worthwhile shooting helicopters and harriers with bullets if you have softened them up with an AT4, RPG, or something first especially without SP:Pro.
I attempted testing the feasibility of a CB LMG AA class and it's simply not practical. You cannot seem to kill anything without firing off the entire 100 round clip and reloading. Harriers died much faster than Pave Low, but could have been due to it hovering in place, or less effective armor. (0.5 instead of 0.3 I think.)
You can shorten the reload with OMA:Pro, though it's still too slow to be practical and shooting into the air for such a long time is bad for your survival.
Maybe extended mags would let you avoid the reload some, but I sort of doubt it.
Scavenger+CB+Stingers remains the AA king. You could pack on an LMG or an AR with a tube for some AA use if you run out of stingers, but I find neither are really effective and it's better just to pack a weapon you can kill effectively with so that you can resupply from enemies. A silencer could help keep you undetected so you can still retreat and shoot down aircraft without getting hunted.
UAV's and Counter-UAV's on the other hand have comparatively low health and are very predictable targets. The only real problem with shooting them is it often takes too long to locate them since they could well be on the other side of the map. It's really not worth spending 20 seconds taking out a UAV that only lasts 30 unless you're going for challenges. And if you're CB then an enemy UAV can actually work to your advantage, making them overconfident.

So if chopper bullet damage is 0.3/0.5x, how much effect does SP Pro have?

I think SP:Pro is supposed to be 1.65, but I don't know if it gets cut by the armor or ignores it. I think it's probably one or the other, otherwise with SP some LMG's should be able to take down choppers fast as hell since they only have 1500 HP, and I've not seen that in practice. It's a little hard to test w/o CB, though. I guess it'd be easier to test vs Chopper Gunner if you just have the gunner not shoot back.

I thought that the bullet damage was taken down 0.3 then the SP pro was added or something liek that.
I don't know, just use a stinger

they did in cod4. i just have an AA class i can OMAP into in major games if i need too (ACR+EM, stingers, SOHP+CBP+SRP).
hella easy class to get cold blooded on too. stingers reload really quick so you're not as likely to die from a CG during a reload. all you gotta do is get 1 stinger on a big heli & as its spinning mow at it with the ACR. every bullet currently counts as a killed heli so by the end of the clip youll have cold blooded pro. ROTFLMAO!

Just don't forget you can shoot down UAVs and counter-UAVs with LMGs too. They take full bullet damage, so it only takes a couple short bursts to knock one down.
