Hi Guys,
I have a question, what sensitivity are you using in titanfall? and if you compare to COD?
I was using 7 in MW1-MW3, 8 in ghosts (different scale), what sensitivity do you recommend to start with?
Thanks

Maybe High?
I was using 4-5 in Ghosts and I think the default sensitivity is pretty good.

IMHO you want to go significantly higher, because
1) the weapons are more accurate and easier to aim. In CoD my accuracy is around 15%, when using Titanfall's 101 AR my accuracy is 29%; 2) the enemies are moving at a much faster speed;

I have been playing for a few generations now, and I used the default sensitivity setting. I use the carbine most of the time and for mid-long range fire fights the default sensitivity is awesome. I do have a feeling that my titan/pilot doesn't turn quick enough in 1v1 gun fights though, but with the high setting I lose them pretty quick. (as in, I try to turn around 180 degree, and find out that the enemy is nowhere to be seen, dying three seconds later by that same enemy from an angle I would have never suspected ) So I don't know if the high sensitivity will actually help me in close range 1v1 fights, maybe it is just something I need to get used to. So, I don't know, is it worth it learning to control high? can you reliably kill pilots on long range with a surpressed carbine on high? Also, how about the "drift safety" (forgot the exact name) option, what does it do? Does it increase the deadzones of the controller input or something? I tried to switch it, I can't really notice any difference, though I have a feeling I did better with it enabled, so I left it enabled. And how about lock 30hz setting (only for 360), I had a feeling that it made my game less reactive and my guns less powerfull, but that might be 100% placebo. The theory behind it was that firerate is probably locked with frame rate like in COD, and therefore an variable frame rate would be better for weapons firing ~850 RPM. If anybody has any information on those topics I would love to hear it. And to top it off, who is using the bumper jumper? I heard it can be awesome, for both pilot and titan. And while I can believe it must be awesome for the pilot, I can't believe it is good for the titan. Sure, dashing while aiming is usefull, but the dash direction is determined by the left stick anyway, and putting the vortex shield on A sounds like a very bad idea. I think I will try the evolved setting over the weekend. I am curious how fast I will get used to it. I am afraid it will take some time. Another problem I have with it is that the setup is not that regular in allot of different games, I don't think there is a bumper jumper setting in allot of games, but I might be wrong (other FPS I mean by that). Would be a pitty to learn to jump with A again in (half) a year when I stop playing titanfall. (when destiny is released for example) Yeah, just some random thoughts and questions, sorry about that. But I would like to hear some oppinions/facts on these topics from you guys. (I will change the topic name) Thanks

High sensitivity works well for me. Seems like the very highest sensitivity is nowhere near as fast as the fasted COD sensitivities. Turning drift protection off seems to disable deadzone, or make it super small at the very least. I leave it on because my stick isn't perfectly centered and does drift at rest if it's not enabled.
I think the setting that keeps Vortex Shield on LB is called Bumper Jumper Pilot. Works well for me. Keeping pilot jump off of A should be a top priority. It didn't take more than an hour to feel perfectly at home with it. Though when I go play some Battlefield I end up grenading myself. Game being less reactive at 30fps is more or less fact, the lower the frame rate the more lag before your input is read and more lag before you see the results of your input.
As for the RPM thing, no clue, XBO tries to hit 60, my PC version is a constant 60, they feel the same. I could feel the difference between the two in COD but it also had higher caps than 60 on PC.

Regarding sensitivity: I experimented with all settings on XONE. The following works for me (note: I use Kontrol Freeks):
When using EVA: Very high When using weapons like Carbine: high When using sniping weapons (both sniper rifle against Pilot and Charge Rifle/Plasma Railgun for critical hits): default
I am now stick with high unless I am working on a regen challenge.

X360 here - High sensitivity working well so far, and I'm with pegasusactual regarding the button layout of Bumper Jumper Pilot.

Is there much reason to not always use autorun?

If you move forward at all without shooting, you'll immediately go into Sprint with "Always" Sprint Assist, meaning you'll need to come out of sprint and bring up your weapon again. So that delay can be a hindrance when you bump into an enemy and/or are playing footsies in a close quarters fight since the slightest step forward will have you put your weapon down.
"Delayed" is just right. That fraction of a second before beginning the sprint prevents the aforementioned problem of having to deal with re-readying your weapon every time you move forward, and it isn't long enough that you'll feel like you are losing (too much) precious time going fast.

Dat run&gun kit doe. But besides that, I actually use the tactic of ALWAYS ADSing when shooting now. It automatically prevents you from sprinting, thus avoiding the problem Den mentioned. Turning off automatic sprint simply isn't worth it to me. As a console player, I went through 10 controllers over the life of my Xbox360. I can't afford to do that again. The breaking point of every controller was always the left joystick coming loose, no doubt due to click-to-sprint in Battlefield and COD. The automatic sprint feature in Titanfall is amazing, and will greatly lengthen the life on my controller. (and I call big-time BS on Microsoft claiming the new billion-dollar controller will last a hundred years. My "Day One" controller already broke down. Good thing I bought a Titanfall LE controller). The "back dat ass up" tactic works too. Always strafe or move backwards when engaged in a gunfight, rather than stepping forwards. Sprint is only activated by forwards motion.

I would like to hear how bros here feel about the sprint options on XONE (or X360). I am still a little bit confused here, because when I need to move forward I have to push left stick forward, isn't that also the sprint button? If yes, where does the "auto" part come from?

The sprint button is when you click the left stick (like in cod) if you use always or delayed sprint, you don't have to do that (click) hope that makes sence

The sprint button is when you click the left stick (like in cod) if you use always or delayed sprint, you don't have to do that (click) hope that makes sence In every FPS (COD, Battlefield, etc), tilting the left stick causes you to walk, but clicking it in causes you to sprint (you don't have to hold it in, just click once to activate sprint). It's not so bad in Battlefield, because there is unlimited sprint there. But in COD, it really wears out your controller fast, because you have to click it over and over and over and over, 100+ times per match. In Titanfall, we now have "automatic sprint", so we no longer need to click the stick in. Just tilting it forwards (the former "walk" function) will automatically have us sprint. This greatly saves us from wear-and-tear on our controllers. My friends who work at Best Buy told me they had to redefine what their warranty on XBox360 controllers covered because they were getting soemthing like 50% of the controllers (that people bought the extra warranty for) returned with "worn out sticks".

Wow, I did not ever consciously click the left stick, I always thought just pushing the stick forward is the way to force sprint, and I have been playing CoD for at least 4 years

So when do we get "automatic melee"? :-P (It's likely I accidentally press in the right stick about 10-20% of the time, until my controllers start to wear, then the number goes up as it becomes easier to have accidental stick presses.) I know, I know-- it's because I have a death grip on the controller sometimes... can't help it. :-)
