If you are playing Titanfall on XONE and frustrated by how annoyingly difficult it is to try to get a party of more than 2 people together to play the game, I think that I have finally figured out how to do it properly. Just follow the easy (or not-so-easy ) steps below:
Prerequisite: ALWAYS fully quit Titanfall after each game play session before turning off XONE. Otherwise the next time you start Titanfall it could be in an odd state that gives you weird problems, including (but not limit to) unable to party with friends;
Step 1: get players into the same XONE party first. You can do this either using the Party app or from inside Titanfall;
Step 2: pick a party leader/host;
Step 3: if you are not the party leader, quit to the Titanfall main menu (or quit the game altogether);
Step 4: if you are the party leader, select "Play", connect to a dedicated server, and then press LT to bring up the party side bar. Select "invite party to game";
Step 5: after step 4, everybody should have gotten an XONE notification invitation. As soon as you see it, press and hold the big X button, don't let it go until you see a Titanfall loading screen with a big ship on top and a whole bunch of blurred flighter jets at the bottom;
Step 6: If everybody followed steps above, the Titanfall game lobby should start getting populated with party members (initially shown "connecting", then becomes party member's GT in green color);
Step 7: as soon as all party members are in the lobby, the host should start matchmaking (don't wait too long or otherwise you will "lost connection to server", see below);
Sometimes the error message "lost connection to servers" might pop up. This happens when the above activities are taking too long. In this case, repeat the entire process from step 3.
