This is from clips taken from gen 1-5 so don't expect expert-level play. I don't make make montages (they aren't very good anyways) for the subs or the likes... I normally just show my buddies. Normally I wouldn't make a thread, but I figured we could get even more hyped for titanfall on this forum by sharing nice clips. I'm really in love with this game and the epic fights it lets you experience.
Edit: The montage picks up at 3:40 if you don't like ...peaceful songs or peaceful gameplay.

The only thing I've recorded that I thought might be worth sharing was my greatest escape when I ejected with only 2 or 3 seconds before the ship left, it started leaving, and I still caught it on my way down. ;3 But then I keep not bothering to record so I miss most of my greatest moments.

Is that using the XB1 in-game editor? How did you get music on it? At 5:58....did you kill an ejecting pilot, while you are also ejecting?

Public service announcement, xboxclips.com will automatically have your "Xbox, Record That!" videos if you have your settings as public somewhere (I forget where, but it must be the default), making it super easy to share. Some random clips while playing earlier today mostly with WittyScorpion and Dumien and later IW5k: Silenced carbine still OPLiteral Titanfall - Dumien had one where he knocked a Stryder halfway across the map and off, don't forget to upload that one. Dumien sounded impressed with this shot - It wasn't that tough of a shot, must have looked better on his screen Naturally the one goose that I got today didn't upload, oh well.

I am still trying to figure this Xbox One editor out.
Can you overlay music? How?
Here's how i am doing videos.
1. Edit inside Upload Studio. (Trim, cut, edit clips inside this program) 2. Upload the finished video to Microsoft's ONE-DRIVE website. 3. On the tab, download the mp4 file down to your desktop. 4. Upload the mp4 file to YouTube, which seems to be a better platform for linking/embedding onto message boards like this one.
Here's an example of a video i made, of my first online matches playing the UFC game.

You can upload to YouTube from the Xbox One directly via the YouTube app. I don't know about adding music, I assume you can't do that in Upload Studio. You'd probably want to use something like Windows Movie Maker for that, so you can't use the YouTube app in that case, so you're probably on the right track with getting the .mp4 onto your computer.

Hey pegusas i used the Xbox clips site which i liked cos it seems easier with the clips already there (easiest/fastest is what i like i can't really be bothered editing), but i didn't know how to get the link the way you got your's could you explain how. Thanks.

Thanks. You seemed to have figured it out, at least your second attempt linked to the video. I think you shared the 'Video' link on the xboxclips.com page. Whereas if you copied and pasted the URL before that you'd get the same kind of link I did. I'm not sure if that's really a good description, maybe this helps explain it: Like I said though, for some reason XboxClips.com seems to miss quite a few videos, so it's not reliable. If you link the YouTube App with your YouTube account it's fairly simple to upload directly from there. For instance it missed this one, granted that video isn't very interesting because it doesn't have mic audio of me freaking out trying to find the last titan on the map. I needed to get the doom shot to get the last kill and thus MVP for the Gen 9 challenges: I guess YouTube now supports 60fps. I'm pretty sure Xbox One will only record at 30fps though. Might be good for uploading some PC gameplay though.

Yes I did kill an ejecting pilot while I was also ejecting. What I do is record single clips using Xb1's game DVR then I upload them en masse to Skydrive. From there I DL to my computer and I edit with my crumby old window's movie maker, which lets me add music/sound effects (like the Shoryuken when I punch a titan right into the sky) and slowdown effects like in the second-to-last clip and the Shoryuken clip. Pegasus Actual I will have those clips up by the end of the day, right now I'm on break while doing some moving.

Thanks pegasus thanks iw. i might try the youtube app but as i say the Xbox clips might suit me better as it could just be that little bit easier for me. One more thing I'd like to know is how do you change what the link says e.g. literal titanfall from the long url.

One more thing I'd like to know is how do you change what the link says e.g. literal titanfall from the long url. Just click QUOTE on my post, and it will show you the code I used. The easiest way to do it when making the link is to click the LINK icon on the tool bar: postception:

For reference this is the site you want to be using if you want to put files on your computer. onedrive.live.com/OneDrive used to be SkyDrive. But OneDrive has issues it seems. When you get your videos on it, and hit the tabs for generating links, ...sites like this one seem to not recognize the links. It's probably me doing something wrong, but i don't know what it is. Maybe someone has an answer to that? I just take the extra short step, and then download/take the file off of OneDrive, put it on my computer *mpg4 file)...and then upload that to YouTube. Message boards seem to work well with Youtube. [youtube ]. <insert video link. .[ /youtube]

True that message boards love YouTube, but they are kind of dicks about licensed music with their auto-suppression nazi bullshit. Anyway here is a montage of gameplay all taken on July 4th playing with Den bros, to celebrate the good ol' USA with the finest tune anyone could possibly think of: Titanfall, maybe

So I put in a few hours to try to learn the art of montage-making in Windows Movie Maker... All I can say, Dumien, is that you must have the patience of a saint. If you have long clips like from ShadowPlay they take forever to import, and editing the clips down is an incredibly clunky endeavor. I guess the Xbox One editor is decent, so maybe it's not as bad if you do some of the legwork there. The slow-mo stuff was kind of handy once I figured out how to split out the appropriate part of the video. Then a couple YouTube things got in my way... first of all I guess the 60fps thing isn't available to the general public yet, just a few test videos. Then again, their test videos look like shit thanks to the low bitrate. And of course, then they're the copyright nazis on music, which was more or less expected. But anyway, if anyone is interested, I put it up on Mega, because kimdotcom is the only one that will have me: 720p-ish 325mb decent quality 60fps version1080p-ish 1gb very high quality 60fps version

If you use Mac's....that's the one way to go.
Xbox One and OneDrive are integrated very well. And if you use Macs...Apple has a number of video programs that work seamlessly with those two. The first is Final Cut Pro (which is more of a professional program) and the second is the free, simple program, iMovie. I have both, and used iMovie to make this simple montage video below. This took me about 20 minutes to make this 3/4 minute edited video. Five steps.
XBox1 > Upload Studio > [send] OneDrive > [download mp4 file to computer] > iMovie > Youtube
This was my first stab at it. Quick and easy.

If you are looking for a no-nonsense procedure or fuss when making a video, the above what I described has got to be easiest way to go about it. At least if one is looking to spend $0.
Clip recorder = free with the Xbox One Upload Studio = Free with the Xbox One OneDrive = it comes with your Xbox membership, just log on. iMovie = free if you have a mac.
Just drag and drop your upload movie mp4 files from OneDrive, onto your mac. Then drag & drop the same files onto the iMovie Timeline. Done. Then drag & drop up to Youtube. It takes seconds. IMovie is also pretty idiot proof in terms of free programs. It's also much MUCH better than Windows MovieMaker.
I wouldn't recommend Final Cut Pro. That can get overwhelming fast. I used to use that when I made/sold videos.
