What does this mean??
It just happened to me two times in a row on FFA.
Was like 5-0 with a Predator on Invasion and was like 13-0 on Karachi then BAM! Laaaaaag... "Server Connection Timed Out"
Does this have to do with the Host disconnecting his router in rage or something?

It means that you or the host timed out, I guess.
Oh and why do they call it "SERVER Connection Timed Out" It's just a slap in the face since we never play on an actual server.
Edit: On second thought I'd say it was you that timed out since if the host timed out it would try to find a new one

This is on the 360 though.
Said SERVER connection timed out on CoD4 too.
What does "timed out" supposed to mean though?

i get this on the pc much to often. Timed out means your connection has timed out and that you just got disconnected. sucks ass as you then have to spend another 2 minutes waiting through the lobby process and also hoping hte game doesnt shove you into a match with 2 seconds left.

On the 360, it's when the connection Host "dashboards" (Presses the xbox guide button, and goes to the dashboard) Since he didn't properly leave the game, (pressing start and hitting "leave game") the host migration process can't start, therefore the game just ends. (When the host properly leaves the game, he's delayed for about 10 seconds so the host migration process can start. Other forms of "dashboarding" are yanking your internet connection, shutting off your system, or probably closing the program (pc)
This basically screws you (and everyone else) out of a win and your match bonus. Your kills/level ups/completed challenges still stay, though.
Personally, this pisses me off so much. I've called in about 4 nukes, and right when the timer reaches 1, the host decides to ruin my day. It's also happened to me twice on domination exactly after we have won (the score count had exactly just turned to 200) and the host dashboards. It's pretty damn gay if you ask me

Wow.
From now on I'll be keeping track who the host is, that's for sure.. (well sometimes).

A host technically still is a server it's just a server and a client at the same time rather than a dedicated server, thus the error message terminology is not a misnomer.

Problem is that it takes half a year to find a decent game here in NZ, I still don't understand why PSN has a region lock when XBL doesn't, that's the reason why I swapped over to XBOX just before the release of MW2, to some how get an advantage that I payed for.

Because Sony is retarded? ;3 Actually I used to LOVE Sony. I really enjoyed the PS1 & PS2, but they have definitely made some mistakes with the PS3 and they are still losing the online thing. Sure I gotta pay for XBL, but I'll take XBL over PSN anyday.
