Question. So I spend 23 motes of light. For an gauntlet engram. I take it to the engram bro..... - it could turn out to be a dud, non raid gear? - it could turn out to be raid gauntlets, but be for a Titan? Something other than a Warlock? I may be misunderstanding but it'll never be raid gear will it? It'll be exotic. It will be Exotic Gauntlets. It could be for any class. |

Well, the good news is that this is the only game changing way to spend your MoL (speaker does have some sick looking class items for 23 MoL), so it is worth the gamble. In the worst case scenario: you got a gauntlet for Hunter. No big deal, maybe a few months from now when you finally decide to level up a hunter, you will be glad that you made the decision of buying it today  |

I distinctly remembering (I'll edit this if I do find it) a quote from the devs saying they didn't want everyone surosing it up, and they wanted greater weapons variety and that was one of the reasons why they nerfed AR's all together. I won't buy it as I don't have the coins... but I fully expect it to get kicked in the balls very soon... Imight hold off on it until the coast is clear The devs say a lot of things. I mean if they really wanted weapon diversity then shotguns need a buff in PvE because I am finding myself using the sniper rifles even in short range, and the only top quality fusion rifle they nerfed to oblivion anyway. Within the context of our discussion, you will be interested to see the following twitter from Bungie: I consider it an admission from the devs that Suros are indeed OP |

My problem is this with the Suros. One can only run one Exotic. I love to use the Icebreaker, with it's regenerating ammo. If that is equipped, I need a non-exotic complimentary weapon. And the vision fills that need perfectly.
Is there good legendary sniper (with regen ammo) that can fill in for the Icebreaker?

The Suros could still be handy when you are running Nightfall where you have Void or Arc Burn modifiers on I guess. I have two Suros Regimes (one bought first time it was sold, the other a Nightfall reward) and I did wonder if a third would be too many. Coins ars not an issue as I expect to reach 100 coins by next week. |

Nightfall sometimes uses the Jugular modifier so ammo regen is still handy. |

What you can do is to switch to Ice Breaker (replace Suro with your Shadow first) to regen ammo, then switch back to your legendary sniper. It should have 6 shots ready to go. Of course, this kind of going back and forth won't fly in the heat of Raid battle. In that case, farm glimmer and buy a crap load of special ammo packs. Considering you have already got Confluence and Shadow, you don't really need Suro for PvE. Just buy it, fully upgrade (only the talent part, no need for the damage), and use it exclusively for PvP |

Ok. That might work for doing solo stuff in the Nightfall and weekly things. But like you said, no time for that in a Raid.

High discipline, so you can use grenades even more frequently. |

I heard reports from people on Twitter that Suros are everywhere today. Maybe it's just an exaggeration. What other weapons have people moved on to? Can't see how any other primary can outperform it in PvP. Still haven't played Crucible much, want to get into that, but there are just too much work on road to 28 on 3 characters. Should get there in 1-2 weeks. CoD:AW will come out then immediately followed by Halo, so still no time for a while. Eventually though, Destiny PvP may serve as a sanctuary to escape to when I have too much beating in the other 2 games. Not saying I'll do better in Destiny, it's just I care much less about my performance. Can always blame that on enemies having OP weapons |

Yup, went ahead and bought the Armamentarium again since I was sitting on a bunch of coins. Wouldn't have bothered if it was close, but 25% higher discipline was too much to pass up.

What is the practical effect of 25 extra discipline? about 4 second less cooldown. Seriously wouldn't trust Datto 100% on exotic opinions, hes kinda the levelcap of Destiny, some good stuff but do more research. He jerks off too the Armamanterium a little too much, some points into discipline and a "melee hits restore energy (6%)). does a great job, and titan nades are average at best. all the titans helmets are significantly better options, and the to be released titan helm glass house is fantastic here as well. voidfang is good for crucible, and if you have raid on all the other slots, its a great swap for heart praxic for sunsinger. hunter chest is meh, if your into fast revives go for it, but just no. suros is average, decent for crucible, and ok for pve, if you have better options you can save your money. engram will give you sunbreakers (meh), young ahamkaras spine (bad) and back up plans (bad). |

Sounds like Dattos is the Drift0r of Destiny. I am not that familiar with driftor, but my general impression so far is that datto is significantly more on the point. And that Titan chest is superb. Grenades abundant, making both striker's flashbang and defender's pulse-twice grenade even more powerful |
