This time he is in the vanguard hall. When you come down there, facing the Vanguard conference table, he is on the right side. What he is selling this week: 1) Engram: this week he offers exotic gauntlet. If you have been waiting for guantlet Raid Gear to drop, today is your lucky day (sort of, as you still have to pray that Cryptarch is going to give you the one for your class); 2) Weapon: Suro Regime Great! Missed it the first time, won't miss it again! 3) Titan Armor: Armamentarium Armamentarium is making a return. Good, I got enough coins last Sunday only to find out Xur has left the building. So nice of him to bring it back again; 4) Hunter Armor: Crest of Alpha Lupi. Revive teammates faster, spawn more orbs, more ammo for special / hand cannon. Also good, as I got this from last week's exotic engram so no spending needed here; 5) Warlock Armor: Voidfang Vestments. Enhanced Axion Blot, spawn with grenade energy, more ammo for Hand Cannon / Special weapon. Not very impressive at the first glance, why do I have a feeling that Warlocks got screwed again? I have 43 coins, so bought Suro Regime and Armamentarium. Also spent a coin on Fusion Rifle telemetry since I got 1 exotic and 1 legendary to upgrade, as well as Pocket Infinity bounty waiting for me. Spent 23 of my 24 MoL on exotic gauntlet, and it's nice of Cryptarch to give me a Hunter one again, which I need the least  So I have a complete exotic armor set for Hunter, talking about redundancy. I guess the good news there is now any 2 non-Raid-Boots Raid Gear drops will get me to 30. Broke again, time to go back to work... |

It took me 46 of my 47 Motes of Light across three characters to get those exotic Titan gloves, but I finally frigging got them. Level 30, here I come.

I need some help. I bought the Suros Regime. I have 14 Strange coins left plus 27 motes of light.
Right now my Warlock has maxed out Raid boots & Raid chest armor. Plus a maxed out Exotic helmet. This puts me in the mid 29's in terms of light, as I have still have regular Legendary Gauntlets (I stopped leveling this piece, so as to not waste Shards. I have 38 shards right now) I haven't been able to find Raid gauntlets for three weeks now. Was shut out this week too.
Question. - Is there something I could do with the Motes of Light and coins? Like perhaps buy Exotic Gauntlets? Then all I need is either a Helmet or Gauntlets in one of these Raid runs? Rather than wait on a 1 in 4 (needing gauntlets) now it would be 2 in 4 (needing gauntlets OR a helmet)As a bonus, if I do end up getting some stuff, I could give the extra piece(s) to my other Warlock. But looking at Xur, for the Warlock, it would appear the Warlock purchase is chest armor? So that's not good?
I am thinking this through correctly?
Regarding the Engram. I have not done this yet. 1 coin buys a legendary engram. What are the odds it would give me Raid gauntlets? Good? Bad?

Yes. Helmet seems common enough of a drop from hard mode Atheon. Of course, you need to get exotic gloves for this to work.

Purchase the Gauntlets engram, because there's nothing else worth spending your motes of light on. Either you have something to vault for another character, or you have a piece for your Warlock. Increase your chances of getting to level 30, and also, at some point you'll probably get both the raid helmet and the raid gauntlets, at which point you'll have options.
I'm sorry, where can you purchase legendary engrams for 1 strange coin?

I think that their goal is rather to have everybody get it so playing field = leveled I distinctly remembering (I'll edit this if I do find it) a quote from the devs saying they didn't want everyone surosing it up, and they wanted greater weapons variety and that was one of the reasons why they nerfed AR's all together. I won't buy it as I don't have the coins... but I fully expect it to get kicked in the balls very soon... Imight hold off on it until the coast is clear |

The Suros isn't being used anywhere near as much in PvP anymore as it was when it went on sale 3 weeks ago. It's a great gun, but a tad over-hyped. People have moved on.

Considering that I don't have a legendary mainhand... suros will be the one. However would either hunter and or warlock chest be the better choice? The special on the warlock chest is just for one subclass which I currently don't play and the hunter... while really nice looking etc, for weekly heroics etc. Suros just seems the better choice?!

Maybe I should wait a week and hope for better warlock armor although I don't have any exotics yet. I probably won't be VoG ready next week even if I hit 26 given I've barely touched any actual 20+ content. In fact the only strike I've done is Devil's Lair from the map screen. ;3 I'm basically a high level noob. heh
