Anybody on PS4 willing to carry a level 26 warlock? ;3 (Honestly don't expect to be able to do Nightfall at 26 from what I've read. I tried the daily on level 28 difficulty and it was pretty hard to take down enemies and any melee attack was instadeath. I was enjoying the challenge and I figured out how to get all the way to the final room, but I doubt I could have managed to survive the waves, but who knows.
Maybe if I had better weapons. If I can kill then I can generally take a few hits or even revive myself from time to time, but if I can't kill enemies quickly enough they over run me. Still, if any bros thinks it's doable and want the challenge I'm game. ;p I'm trying to get motes to buy an armor engram this weekend and hoping it'll be helmet and for my class to complete my starter raid gear. Or if I can earn enough coins Xur might offer another option, but I only have a couple right now so I'd prolly have to get some from nightfall on luck and also be carried through the weekly strike on level 28. (I can prolly handle 26, but probably wouldn't get enough coins.) We'll see. If I can't get an exotic helmet I have a lot of marks to grind out and with AW out I doubt I'll have time to get them in less than several weeks. (Although I did go ahead and grab voidfang chest last week... prolly shouldn't have but oh well.)

FYI: the best way to carry a lower level player through Nightfall: Solo or have a team of 28+ play through until the end when the boss only has a slimmer of health, then get the lower level player join your game. |

I don't think we could handle the Nightfall just the two of us without a 28+ to carry us, but we can do some daily/weekly stuff.
PS: Marko, keep checking the Gunsmith. He had a rare void sniper rifle last night, but you weren't on. You can check what he's selling from the Bungie app or the website if you go to the tower. That way you don't have to go in game if you're busy, though I normally just check when I'm running Tower related errands. Personally I find that the rare snipers I have gotten in loot are better than the ones he stocks, but only by so much, and I've been hoarding all three elemental snipers for a while now and upgrading them incrementally. I'm well versed in the loot/compare/dismantle dance. heh I'm a little obsessive about loot upgrades. I REALLY wish they gave us more inventory space because I'd like to carry all three elements of snipers, shotguns, and fusion rifles, but then I would have only one slot left for loot. (Shotguns mainly just because I like them and hope someday Bungie will balance them better.)
Anyway we can definitely pull a 24 or maybe even a 28 level daily, and a 26 level weekly. If I don't have time for all that noise then maybe we can just do the good old patrol/bounties/events thing for a bit before I switch over to AW.

That sucks. Hope your boy will get well soon! Sorry to hear about that. He's fine... he slid down with his sister and his leg got tangled as they landed. But because he's just a cool, chill kid... he didn't cry or anything. He'd just whine when he'd try to put weight on it when he'd pull himself up to stand and scoot around tables and stuff. His break is a slight crack that should heal up soon. But he's in a cast which annoys the hell out of him because he loves pulling himself up. I just hope this doesn't prevent him from walking even more so (he's a lazy boyo who'd rather bumscoot somewhere, than walk there) |

Datto's video on soloing this week's Nightfall: That is the cheese spot I use although I enter that part by jumping on the block that protects you from the Cabal but it can be a pain getting up and in quickly so I will use his route for Nightfall as I do not want to waste time trying to get in. You can snipe the tank on the left hand side. There is a 'ledge' you can jump on to and some space if tou need to lean against the cliff. |

The spot on the left upper ledge seems to work fine as the tank usually will shot past it, gotta keep an eye open regardless. |

You can run this week's Weekly Lv28 Heroic without cheesing it. It's pretty quick and easy. I would suggest going right for the Lv28 and get the nine coins in one shot. Easier.

I've done the Nightfall/Weekly already with both my characters. I just decided to go for it from the beginning with a fireteam with my alt character. I can confirm that my teammates had sore backs. Unfortunately I didn't get anything good from them, just nothing but Strange Coins. Funny how I was struggling to get them a couple of weeks ago, now I have 63 of them, 34 (!) just from this week's nightfall/heroic. What am I going to do with all of these Strange Coins...? |

Strange coins can be used to buy things from Xur. He shows up every Friday morning and sells Exotic guns & armor. Typically, 13 coins for armor, 23 coins for a weapon. You can also use 1 strange coin to purchase exotic weapon synthesis packs (5 uses). This helps you level up your exotics quicker.

Unless you have 100+ coins, you dont have too many  The 3 armor pieces will cost 39 coins if you are an exotic collector like me. Primary weapon costs 23 while special and heavy cost 17, and when it is something great like Ice Breaker you are tempted to get 1 for each character. 1 coin for 5 heavy ammo is a good deal, would have cost you 4750 glimmer if you buy from Gunsmith. Telemetries are great for leveling up your weapons, and the sparrow upgrades are nice if you have rare or exotic sparrows. |

Haven't been able to get Timebreaker from the raid yet. |

lol Yeah well, when you're already decked out in legendary, raid, and exotic gear and weapons there's not as much to spend them on. We're both pretty far from that... or not really that far we just don't have the playtime to get through it all that quickly.
I also don't think we're really gonna get the ability to trade or sell items between players. It would really fly in the face of the progression system if you could grind a character up to 20 then have your guild gift you some raid gear and be an instant level 30.
It might be nice if we could trade some things, but even if they do enable that they will make MANY things "soulbound" so they can't be traded between players. Hell you can't even trade marks between characters. (Though I think you can buy items and trade those if one had the time to grind out the marks and rep on multiple characters. Personally I never hit the cap anyway.)

Destiny has one impressive trait: when you desperately need something, it does not drop that for you easily and let you work very hard at it. Once you have plenty of it, you'll get more.
If I have a quarter for every time the following happens...
1) Bought armors/weapons, immediately got one from loot;
2) Got the same Raid gear over and over again;
3) Kept getting exotic armors from exotic engrams on the character that already have multiple pieces;
etc.

I'd rather have Strange Coins than unwanted legendaries and I have close to 140 Coins. Some of the legendaries I have are rather meh, like the pxo pusle rifle or whatever it is called. I got an exotic helmet recently for my Titan but I already have it. It appears to have slightly better stats though. But then I do not use this helmet because I use an exotic chest armour instead. I suppose I would prefer 9 Ascendant Energies though. |
