I've noticed as good as no advantages to using the Desert Eagle, easily contrasting to the overall more superior .44 Colt Anaconda. I mean look, the .44 is stronger, more accurate, and more handleable than the Deagle. The Deagle can only compete due its remarkably higher ammunition cap (Both clip and spare). But, what's the use of more ammunition if you can hardly use it effectively?
Is there any known "deep" form of balance between the two handguns? (Such as the differences between the M16 and FAMAS)

if you add tactical knife on deagle it decreases the recoil a bit.
which is ironic, since you're holding it by 1 hand.

deagle is alright akimbo I'm guessing, those 1 (2) extra shots really help. I've had plenty of times with the .44 that just one more bullet would have done the job.

I know this isn't part of the topic, but using a USP is better than both of these in my opinion. I haven't got a chance to really use the Deagle in this game, but as of right now, I would much rather use a USP or an M9 than the Revolver

.44 (or deagle) is 2 shot kill without SP. I don't mind running akimbo magnums with my cold blooded sniper kit.

yep. For classes without stopping power magnums tear it up, otherwise it's usps, m9s, or (soon to try out) rafficas.

Rafficas are beast akimbo'd, but it seems like you're defeating the point of having a "Pocket FAM16" when you can't ADS and get 1 burst kills across the map (lol)

The Deagle is worthless. It gives you one extra bullet over the magnum at the cost of greater recoil and broken iron sights.
About tactical knife's reduction in recoil, I can't tell yet whether the tactical knife reduces actual recoil or just view kick. Might just reduce visual kick but accuracy is the same.

Also, I agree that the M9 and USP are better than the Magnum & Deagle. If you're able to fire quickly, with the M9 & USP there's no meaningful TTK benefit with the power pistols up close. But.. If you're able to fire accurately the Magnum and Deagle are extremely difficult to use at longer range.
Trying the Deagle with Akimbo is something I haven't done, though... I've seen Den say on these forums that he likes the akimbo Magnums and I've seen a few people use them effectively... I haven't used them very much or the akimbo deagles...

I'd have to agree with James on that one, but arguably it's like having shotguns with range. :X individual: The inept abilities of the Deagles is pretty much a truism. The thing with the moderate handguns is the damage and range. It's easier to hit targets from afar with the .44 than the USP, and even if it's easier to hit with the M9 I'd have to land sometimes 5 hits on them. When I'd have to land usually 3 shots with the .44, maybe even only 2 hits. Besides, I do care about my accuracy so I try not to waste too many shots like I would tempted to if using the M9.

Akimbo pretty much removes any disadvantages Deagle has compared to Mags since you can't ADS, so the ammo is nice.

Shotguns with range and a lightening fast weapon switch.

M93R's are more like thunder fast switch...rather than lightning (Oh how I love whipping out my .44). I suppose that is true...the possible use of Akimbo Deagles. I don't know whether their hip accuracy was any good or not though. :X

Akimbo Deagles are just as wretched as a single, the accuracy is still terrible. The Deagle is the one gun in the game that I consider pretty much worthless Too bad too, it does look cool akimbo or tactical

The Deagle is terrible. The ADS viewkick is huge and recenters slower than a handicapped snail and even the akimbo version kicks like a mule. And to top it off it does less damage at range. The .44 is better at everything IMO.
