I'll just cut to the chase. A lot of players may have 3.50 KD's, be beasts at this game or that game. They might be able to dealift 800lbs. Witty might be able to do all of those things, who knows. But what I do know is this...... ....No other bro in the gaming community is man enough to run Destiny's Gorgon Maze, time after time after time......with their brightness settings set at level TWO. I DARE ANYONE TO TRY THAT. Witty, you are the man, for challenging yourself like that, to keep the game difficult. Serious props for pushing yourself. Numerous Gorgon runs now blindly bumping into walls, running right off of unseen ledges, running past teammates, exploring new routes, yet going into last nights' second Raid run, there you were, still nutting up and challenging yourself with these almost pitch black settings running completely blind. Lots of people talk the talk, you walk it. People reading this, go try it. It ain't easy. Dumien, for the love of God, please post that video from last night's Raid. The was the most fun I have had in Destiny yet. I had tears in my eyes.  |

Everybody who is bored with VoG should immediately change the brightness to <=2 and try it again. You won't be disappointed  I thought the game is designed this way, make everything so dark that you have to make your way through feel. When my teammates were screaming at me to just follow them, I was like, "huh? there are walls everywhere?! How were you guys able to make through everything so quickly? You must have memorized the whole layout so you can do it with eyes closed..." I never realized that it is because I had my "sunglasses" on. I thought that the reason why I got lost is because I am severely orientation challenged (which I am ). Thanks to suggestions from HSV1 bro bulldaddy to turn up the brightness, I can now see again! |

I am going to have to try this one time, ...do the run with a setting at '2' to challenge myself. We should call it the 'Skorpion Run', a way to make it more difficult.
The best part was when you ran past the exit, right past Dumien, like four times. I was standing right there and watched you run by. Then back. Then by. Then back again. You were literally like only 5' away fro hi the whole time. I guess we were in the shadows.

The hardest part for me is not the Gorgon maze, but the vertical descent through caves. I cant' see shit while doing that. The only way I was able to make it through previously is to have somebody hand hold me...

Between Witty's antics, me dying in comedic fashion multiple times at the parkour section, and our flustercuck at the Atheon stage in the first run that we somehow managed to get through, I'd say last night was without a doubt the most enjoyable experience I've had yet. Good times!

The game will override your brightness setting (much like the darkness in the relic stage) and you will navigate by feel or memory.... |

It really was. After dealing with his blindness an entire run before, and then a second time of Witty getting lost in the maze...we were a bit befuddled, but no big deal. It's all fun. So we got the chest and were running tight through the maze. We got to the tunnell that leads to the exit/jumping platforms. Everyone went through. A nice sigh of relief. Finally.
Then all of a sudden, we hear Witty. "Wait..wait...". Where's Witty? Apparently he ran the wrong way again. Post and I were standing right inside the exit from the maze, telling Witty to come here as we would see his name-tag heading towards the exit. All was good. Witty ran to us, and then by us. Post starts hollering to turn around. Witty comes running back, and right by us again, sprinting only God knows where in the maze, just sprinting like a madman. Post hollars to come back. Here comes witty....right by us again. And then back again. Every time, only like five feet away from us. And then back yet again, before the monster/thing tagged him.
The whole experience, one of the funniest things I have ever seen in gaming.

I am also happy to report that I can blame part of my parkour suckiness to my darkness settings. Remember you guys telling me to aim for the ledge? Honestly speaking, I cant really see the ledge, I was jumping on blind faith When we got wiped in Raid, we will see on screen text that "you are forever lost in the dark corner of the time". Now I realize: it was no big deal, I was already lost in the darkness anyway So with my newly found "light", you can expect much better performance from me in the next Raid, so I hope... |

Thanks for the laughs tonight, everyone. Witty was bored with playing blind, so he tried out a new hard mode - deaf! Witty turned the sound on his headphones all the way down for chat, so we could hear him, but he couldn't hear us. Good times!
Next up? Combine the hard modes for Ultimate Skorpion Mode! Also known as Helen Keller Mode! Look for it in the appropriately named Dark Beyond!

Let me tell you guys right now: if you haven't played the hard raid in "scorpion" mode, you are missing out. Here is what you need to do for the full "scorpion" experience: Step 1: in game menu->settings->screen brightness, set it to 2; Step 2: On your controller, find the headset plug in, and press the left upper button (there are 4 buttons: left upper button has a controller icon, left lower button has a person icon, right upper button has a "+" icon, right lower button has a "-" icon) until you hear a beeping sound; Step 3: equip nothing but a regular legendary Scout Rifle as your primary; 1 to ensure that you can't see crap, 2 to ensure that you can't hear teammates, and 3? well, let's just say that will make Oracles very happy |

We will have to use Halo scale: Easy = no "scorpion" modifiers Normal = blind modifier Heroic = blind + deaf modifier Legendary = blind + deaf + Scout Rifle for Oracles |
