I am interested - because I'm having fun in the game. Does anyone know if it will include content other than 'endgame' material (strikes,raids, etc)? Like maybe another planet?
I'm only level 20 (Twenty and two-thirds, lol) and I figure even getting to level 28 is going to take me until January at this rate. :-)

Yes and yes. givemelight: There will be 3 new story missions, 3 new crucible maps, a new strike, a new raid, and new gear, plus another strike that is PS4 exclusive. No new planets, just new areas on existing ones. |

Preloaded the digital bundle as soon as it became available (around 2 weeks before release)
I am hoping for quarterly expansion packs, at least for a year. If that's the case and they offer another season pass for the next 2, I will buy that as well...

I'm concerned though. There is NO-ONE more unlucky with drops than me. I've got one #26 and one #28. I've never seen a raid gear drop. Come the dlc I'm in trouble.

Hehe, I think all the people who are worrying about the next DLC @ rank 28-29 don't need to...
The level cap is being raised to 32 so even getting one piece of new DLC raid gear from normal mode should boost you to your desired level.
This also means that the current raid gear will soon be obselete... lol

This also means that the current raid gear will soon be obselete... lol You've probably seen it already, but if not, there are datamined things out there that show a third VoG difficulty at level 31, as well as alternate sets of VoG armor for all 3 classes. The armor appears to be only cosmetically different, but it's possible it could allow for higher light levels. So the current gear might become obsolete, only to be replaced with a better set of VoG gear. That'd be nice as it would allow a few more combinations of end-game gear so not everyone looks almost exactly the same. |

Blue armor for normal mode. Gold armor for hard mode. We learned that through data mining too iirc. However, somewhere along the line Bungie chose to have a single set of VoG raid armor (the gold variant) available to us. I'm wondering if they will stick to that theme for tDB. It would be cool if everyone could look differently if they want. Hell, micro-transactions would be fantastic here. I'm definitely pushing for transmogrification...though I guess that should be pretty low on Bungie's ToDo list. |

Dumien: Yeah, that's true. May just be wishful thinking on my part hoping they repurposed one of those sets so there'd still be a reason to actually run the VoG once tDB releases. If not, they're cannibalizing their own content which doesn't really make any sense, but then again, a lot of what they've done to this point doesn't really make any sense, so who knows?

Honestly speaking I don't know whether I'll want to spend the time doing the planet material farming to just have a better look. It is wearing me down, especially if none of these "new" gears have 30+ light.
