I wanted to pop in and update my sniper and handguns thoughts. I actually kind of like the NA 45. It is a really stupid gun and I can't see it working in most game modes but I have had a lot more fun than I was expecting with it in momentum. If you can get a fell for it I suggest using it with fast hands and the atlas 20MM. It's a surprising fun combo but don't expect to be going super positive either. For handguns I would like to say that the grach and the atlas 45 are complete and total garbage. I think the executioner was a better gun and dual wielded are much more fun gun than these. I really wish I knew why these had to be so bad. I really liked the grach and the p226 in ghosts and loved the tac 45 in blops 2. Now we get these awful piles... The RW-1 and PDW aren't that bad though. I had to rant a little bit about the pistols because I am still pretty hot about how bad they are. i agree. ive always like rolling with pistols in cod, but the atlas 45 is just way too weak. its unfortunate. the RW1 is obviously legit. any quick ADS iron sight OHK gun is going to be solid in the right hands. of course, the balance is the long reload time and the frequency with which you have to engage multiple enemies in this game... the grach is only viable akimbo. the pdw is pretty much only viable akimbo (even better with EM). even still i think the ttk with the pdw akimbo is too slow. but itll work in a pinch better than my MORS/Atlas will (though railgunning with the atlas can be pretty effective when youre in the zone). i got royalty on pistols and am very close to royalty on sniper rifles. ive only found success with the NA in hardcore mode. every now and then ill jump into core, and even with DC ill still get hitmarkers... ill finish the round and go straight back to hardcore mode... the low slow sway makes headshots with it very fun though. ill give it that. after spending time with the sniper rifles, even though they are unfairly nerfed. they are still playable in their own way. getting longshots is the only difficult part because you have to find the one or two spots on these maps that allow them... it was pretty frustrating with the atlas because of its inaccuracy. id go 30+ and 10 with the atlas in dom and get like 1-2 long shots... so frustrating.

I find the NA to be a awful straight sniper but if use it strictly as a splash damage gun it's great for spamming capture points and getting people behind cover. Not sure if the NA ravager increases the splash damage or radius but I haven't used the base model. So I'd nominate it as the best grenade launcher in the game.

From a primarily solo KC player perspective.
There are guns that are good in theory, but don't work for me. I rush nonstop so any gun that takes my focus away from killing tangos I tend not to do as good with. Prime example is the ASM1. First 8 shots @ 900 rpm? 3HK range 2nd only to the KF5 (SMG)? I should be good to go right? But I find that I become too fixated on bursting and its a distraction. So with that being said:
Best SMG MP11 Goliath. The nerf (4HK range 1252 -> 850) hurt me deep, but I it was inevitable: 900 rpm SMG that could kill >>30m in 4 shots? Setup is flexible due to no attachments being "required", but my standard setup is Parabolic, Grip & Extended Mags. In theory, I'd replace this with the ASM1 Sweeper and leverage burst fire and have a 5HK minimum, but the Goliath is just more comfortable.
SAC3 Misery & Company. I have a few of the variants but nothing really stands out. I only choose this over the vanilla because I just learned the Mobility +1 adds 2% movement speed. Laser, Extended Mags, & Advanced Rifling, Lightweight & Gung Ho. This is my Kill Confirmed setup. 30+ tags is the norm as I'm constantly moving and in their face.
AR Bal-27 Obsidian. I tend to stay away from the "best gun in the game" as its subjective and depends heavily depends on playstyle, game mode, etc., but this is the best all-around gun in the game, lol. 3-4HK with the 4HK not coming til >30m? Clear irons? 720 rpm after the first 4 shots (600)? Parabolic, Grip, & EMs all day. How the he11 did SHG single out the Goliath and not this? It should be a 30-24-20 gun at the most, not 30-25-20. Funny thing is, I rarely use this gun and I've had it for quite some time. Reason being is that if I had one gun to choose from, it would be this one hands down. However, I tend to play either as an extreme rusher 90% of the time or just kick back and pick people off on maps like Defender & Retreat. So either I have an SMG or...
AK12 RIP. Best AR I have for how I use it: Picking people off at mid-long range. Why? It's consisttent: Deadly accurate, no gimmicky fire rate fluctuations, and 4HK at all ranges. Drawback is that it "requires" 1 attachment and "begs" you to use another. The required attachment is Extended Mags. With 22 rounds by default & needing 4HK EM is a must imo. And since it's a 4HK at all ranges the Suppressor is "free" so why not use that as well? I'm a Parabolic Mic addict so I throw that on, but since this is used at range, RDS is viable as well (I just dislike "wasting" an attachment on optics). Potentially the ARX Hole Puncher could vie for this spot, but I've yet to unlock it.
Shotties, etc.
I haven't given other classes enuff play to comment on them.
Worst I think the obvious ones have already been mentioned, the AMR9 & MK14.
Obsolete So rather than focus on worse, I'll focus on obsolete. It's not that the guns suck, but why use gun X once you have gun Y?
I see no point to the SN6. A 4-6HK @ 720 rpm (first 4 shots @ 900). Some variants yield a consistent 900 rpm and some are a 4-5HK. But why use any of these once you have the MP11 Goliath, or dang near any ASM1 as it gives double the 900rpm first shots with more bullets in the mag? I guess its more accurate? But this isn't BO2, the grip actually makes a difference.
Ditto for the HBRa3. With the 3HK range of ARs being virtually eliminated (except the Obsidian LOL) what's the point of a 600 rpm high recoil AR? Sure, you have the first 4 shots being at a higher rpm (even 900 on a couple), kudos if you do, but I for one don't effectively take advantage of it.

I, too, have been having a shitload of fun with the NA-45. I don't have any of the +damage variants, but holy hell is it fun in hardpoint with danger close and in HC domination. In HC Dom it's like playing a deadly game of pool. You don't even need to see the guy on B flag to insta-splash him off of it. It's hard to really imagine the gun as being viable, but I grin like an idiot when I use it. It's a specialty tool to be sure, but the MORS puts me to sleep and the Lynx is just utterly garbage unless you're proned out for the entire game.
One of my go-to hardpoint classes is an AK-12 with stock and grenade launcher, fast hands with an NA-45 variable zoom, danger close, and other perks according to one's preferences. Get the hell away from the main fray, find an open window, and spam explosions.
