Oh... It's been an expensive morning....
Let's see... Coins for the exoticbounties... Urn for the next step in the eris quest... Bought patience and time... Gambled on the helmet engram and lost... Then because I have a feeling Xur won't be upgrading my Dire helmet anymore, I bought the gaunlets... Now I just have to replace with my helmet and I should be set!
An expensive morn (at least by my cheap, low budget standards)

Bought three pre-buffed P&T because reasons and 20 sniper rifle telemetries for each of my three characters. Got my Heart of Praxic Fire upgrade even though I already have light 36 Skull of Dire Ahamkara fully upgraded. Also I knew Xur would sell the upgrade for the Heart of the Praxic Fire before actually selling it the first place, and I suspected the P&T would be available since it is arc and this Nightfall/Heroic use the arc burn modifier. |

I'm not sure for myself.
I already have a Lv 36 Exotic Helmet and Lv36 Gloves (Sunbreaker) fully leveled up. Buying a 2nd set of gloves? I can't think of a reason to do that.
Using Mote to get another helmet? I have two Exotic Level 30 helmets sitting in my shed, plus a unleveled 36.
Buy a new 'Patience and Time'? I have a 300 attack one now, close to full leveling (two sockets away from completion). I don't really use it that much now. I like the gun. It's fun, low recoil, all of that stuff, but one can only use one sniper rifle at a time and I have like eight of them. This is a tough call.
The other Exotics available for XFurbishing. I have all the Exotic guns listed up there. Can't say I really like any of them that much, that I am willing to spend time and glimmer to redo all their stuff, for a level 330 attack. It takes about 20 to 25 bounties of playing to level up an exotic. At 10min a bounty, that's like five hours or more or grinding. Eh...I'll pass.
Am I missing something here? Should I buy something?

I dunno if it's buyers remorse all of a sudden, but maybe getting that Ahamkara gauntlets was a mistake.
It'll be another week and a bit before I can get the 120 needed for a Vanguard helmet... and then I have to level it. Plus I absolutely effing love my Skull of the Dire Ahamkara... it looks good, I don't see anyone else with one so I feel a bit leet. Plus, and a big plus, my entire shader waredrobe is based soley on how well it matches up with my Skull.
... but I know in my cackles o my heart, that Xur won't be upgrading it for a while. And while I do have luck getting the motes, I just don't think lightning's gonna strike twice and he'll give me another, updated one. Plus, untouched, the gauntlets have the same light as the upgraded skull, so my ceiling is higher. And who knows... maybe my shaders will still look good with the gauntlets....
But I have 0... negative regrets about getting Patience and Time... my weakest sniper rifle is now my best by far... plus I get to go invisible? Shut that front door. Slam it! Slam it haaaaaaard!

Did they fix the invisibility in PvE?
As for the gloves, it's a good idea to cover as many slots as you can due to RNG on raid gear. Now you can still make 32 with chest, boots, and either helmet or gloves. That really increases your chances. Hell it's probably worth picking up a voidfang at some point just to have chest covered too.
As for me... I will most certainly buy the gloves. I don't know how they compare to voidfang, but I assume they are better for PvE. I won't be able to use them until I get an alternative for my chest, but maybe if I push IB this weekend I can get one there.

You should not regret the purchase. I'm just mad at Xur because I already got the new P&T from the first raid chest in CsE. I was hoping for something new and sexy like Gjallarhorn. Oh well, at least I can upgrade my Heart of Praxic Fire. Is MIDA worth upgrading? I use it for the agility/speed boost, but that's about it. |

I don't think so Mal. But if you the free slot to level it up, I guess it doesn't hurt anything to get it.
That's my issue. You can pretty much only level up one Exotic at a time when completing missions/strikes/bounties. So it takes time. I have the Suros done. Almost done with the IceBreaker. And I have so many other Exotics...just not sure which is worth it.

So I upgraded two plan Cs. I bought the warlock arms. A must buy you guys...this thing is crazy in crucible/lets you play like a force barrier titan in PvE...and you all thought I was joking when I said my warlock was raised by titans. Upgraded 2 Mida Multitools. Bought a since Patience and Time. In general I prefer Plan-C for my Arc sniping needs. |

I spent a lot this morning:
Hunter: bought Knuckhead Radar and exchanged Lucky Resperry (need an exotic chest piece in case the Raid RNG doesn't drop me a raid chest)
Warlock: bought Claws of Ahamakara
Titan: did nothing. Already got everything offered
Weapons: bought P&T, exchanged MiDA and Plan-C
State of exotics:
-- The Good
Armor: I now have exotic helm/gloves/chest for each of my characters, as ready as I can get for level 32
Weapons: I got the ones I used most ready for 330 attack upgrade: Suros, MiDA, Ice Breaker, P&T, Plan-C
--The bad
I am now broke on all fronts: glimmers, coins, MoLs, etc
--The ugly
I have a scarily long list of weapons/armors to upgrade. Starting next week I will only purchase stuff that I don't already own for collection purpose.

Also a good news, sort of:
To get exotic shard I broke down my Super Good Advice that is upgraded all the way to the 2nd to last node. I only expect to get 1 exotic shard, but I got 2.
In other words, break down exotic can produce 1 or 2 ES, regardless whether it is fully upgraded or not (2 days ago I broke down a 30-light symbiote and only got 1 shard from it)

Do you think Bungie will reconsider the 1 exotic rule, or might they go 2 per section (ie: 2 exotics and 2 weapons able to be used) or 3 per character over all (ie: any combo of 3 exotics used ,,, ie: all 3 armour 0 weapon, 2 armor 1 weapon, 2 weapon, 1 armour, 3 weapon 0 armour)

I see no good reason for that to ever change. Bungie is using raid legendary to give players good stuff without the exotic limitation. These weapons/armors are wolves (i.e. exotics) in sheep's (i.e. legendary) skin. |

I don't think they will reconsider the 1 exotic weapon 1 exotic armor rule. Aside from being able to combine exotics being potentially OP it also would greatly affect your progression. As is you can use speed up your progress towards 31 or 32 by substituting one exotic which is arguably much cheaper to purchase from Xur than getting the marks. It also vastly helps your odds of getting a full set of raid gear in a reasonable amount of time if you have a few exotics and thus only need one of a couple of possible combinations of 3 pieces. If you could use two exotics you would only need two raid armors and that would be a bit much.

Option: it's probably finally time for you to level up 2 more characters to do the weekly for 18 more coins Otherwise don't worry about Plan-C. 300 attack ones will still work in Weekly and Nightfall, where the Arc burn can happen and Plan-C is at its best. You don't really need 330 attack model for CsE, you probably want other weapons for the primary slot anyway. |

Because Obsidian Mind is best pony from what I have heard and you don't want to miss out on those by being short on currency. Not sure if non-DLC owners can equip the Obsidian Mind if they get it from the Cryptarch or from Nightfall. Xur still trolled Sunsingers by offering an upgrade to the Heart of the Praxic Fire having never sold it. I got mine upgraded but I can see this being tedious for those who do not have it. |
