You have a higher % than you think, there are potentially only 22 Exotics for XB users. Two of those up there are PS exclusives.
But funny you said what you did, I thought the same thing. I have 18 of the 22 Exotics. And I only use three of them. I use the Suros Regime all the time for PvP. I'll sometimes use the Truth in PvP, if I use the ShadowPrice. I use the IceBreaker all the time for harder PvE. The other 15 guns? I'm with you, just occasional situations here and there. Maybe a sequence in a Nightfall? Pretty much, they all collect dust.
What I don't have? While you want the Icebreaker, (I have two of them), I want what you have, the
Gjallorhorn, which never appears for me. I think you have two of them too? It's a shame people can't trade extras. I also want the the
Vex Mythoclast (although I imagine this would collect dust for me too). That would be the second. I also don't have the
Hawk Moon (pistol, who cares) and I have never seen the '
Fate of all Fools', the exotic scout. But I already have way to many scout rifles, so this one would collect dust too. So yeah, those are the four I am missing.
Even my VoG Raid weapons, the nine of them. I have seven of the nine. Dust collectors. Atheon's Epilogue, VoC, Timepiece, Found Verdict, etc.. all never used. I recently got four Found Verdicts in a week of VoG'ing. I broke them all down. None of these guns I find useful.
The Murmur? Leveled it to 331, but it always gets bumped aside in tough PvE for the Icebreaker. The Eiedolon Ally? Worst gun in the game. Tried it in the War Siege mission, not going there again.
The Crota guns are going the same way. I have found no real use for the Song Ir Yut and Light of the Abyss...yet. Maybe to soon though. They have some nice benefits, but to soon to tell.
Pretty much, for PvE when it comes time to getting stuff done, everything falls into two camps. I am ....1) in a hurry, or 2) doing something hard like a nightfall or Raid,.....in either case, I want sh1t to get done, so I go with these:
Primary - 331 TFYPKY 1969, this 331 is a beast of a pistol. My favorite gun in the game.
Primary 2 - 331 Saterienne Rapier, great (Crucible) scout gun with best-in-class stats, and explosive crit shots. Beast gun!
Special 1 - 331 IceBreaker, duh.
Heavy 1 - 331 Hunger of Crota, pretty much does the same stuff the Gjallorhorn does (tracking & sub-munitions cluster bombs)
The above is 95% of what I do. Why do I even waste time leveling these others up.
