Has anyone conclusively identified the factors that influence the chances of a player dropping their weapon when killed? Ammo? Time lived? The weapon you used to kill them?
You are my bro, bro.

I may not understand your question fully. But regarding killed players dropping their weapons, my theory has always been: - Players will always drop their current weapon upon death unless there isn't free space in the vicinity to create the weapon object or in the case that the max number of objects on the ground has been reached. As aged objects are cleared from the battlefield, new weapons can drop again. Objects are cleared from the battlefield in regular sweeps every X amount of time.

Based on my time testing guns, I can tell you that will never drop a gun on the first death. Weapons from whoever dies first just magically disappear.

I felt like it had to do with remaining ammo as well, because in Search and Destroy, it seems to be a guaranteed drop (thus resulting in hilarity as people try to defuse the bomb but end up switching weapons 6 times until they go boom).
But that despawning theory covers that too.

some people rage when they get sniped, i rage when this --> I felt like it had to do with remaining ammo as well, because in Search and Destroy, it seems to be a guaranteed drop (thus resulting in hilarity as people try to defuse the bomb but end up switching weapons 6 times until they go boom).

I find this very annoying when I'm on a long streak with only a few bullets left, go to pick up the gun from the guy I just killed and it's not there. You'd think with the new consoles we wouldn't be having issues with there being too many objects? Guess not.
