Another advanced tip that I did not mention earlier:
For the final sword (whether it is 2-sword strat or 3-sword strat), one annoying move Crota could perform is "quick rise", get back up from kneeling very quickly and kill the sword holder before he has the time to get away. This happens frequent enough for advanced raid teams to have a response strategy: the "backup/understudy" sword holder.
In this strategy: for the final sword run one player is designated as the backup sword holder. His job is to get ready to jump in and finish the job in the case that primary is killed by "quick rise". In my runs with Post/Jigga I heard two ways of doing this;
1) Bladedancer as backup. In this case, the backup will shadow primary sword holder's movements, follow him around and within striking distance (while invisible) when the primary is hitting Crota; 2) Defender Titan as backup. In this case, the backup will deploy a bubble to stay safe from the boomer fire;
The reason why this can be done is because 3 players shooting rockets are more than enough to take Crota down (especially with heavy ammo glitch so people can afford to shoot 2 rockets in the final sword run).
IMHO: #1 is easier to pull off. But since many players don't have a hunter class, #2 is good to have.

The basic layout is this: 1. Kill (or almost kill) Swordbearer while on ledge. Pop super, hit RT (or whatever "shoot" is for you) to go invisible -- must have the Vanish perk selected. 2. Jump down and run to sword, hit RT again to refresh invisibility while next to sword, then pick up the sword. 3. Get to rock, call out for damage on Crota, and immediately jump up while still invisible. 4. Combo, Combo, Slam. The combo is RB-RB-RT (melee-melee-shoot), Slam is RT (shoot). So the full sequence is RB-RB-RT, RB-RB-RT, RT. 5. Press Y (switch weapon) to drop sword, melee Crota to go invisible -- must have Escape Artist perk selected. 6. Pick sword back up, wait for fireteam to drop Crota's shield, repeat steps 4 and 5, then bail out back to the safe room. 7. Repeat all of the above on the next sword. How long does the invisibility last, if one is using the 'vanish' perk? Is it 15 seconds? And if you use the 'Shadowjack' modifier, does that bump it up to 18 seconds? And what do you mean by "hit RT again to refresh invisibility while next to the sword"? It's been a long time since I played a Hunter. cant remember the mechanics

It's been a long time since I played a Hunter. cant remember the mechanics Vanish can be used as many times as you want, without any cool down, as long as your super is up. I don't know exactly how long it lasts every time you hit RT, but long enough to: 1) run from ledge to where the sword is dropped, and 2) from the moment you pick up the sword to right in front of Crota's face. This is why Bladedancer is the best sword holder class. You can be invisible for the entire duration of a sword run, it's like the boomers don't even exist. That said, as Datto's video mentioned and HebbNH has proved: sword holder does not need to be a bladedancer. Titans and Warlocks can do it too. When we finally have time to do 3 hard runs per week (so far we can at most do 2), I am interested in doing shadow sword runs and/or primary sword runs at least as bladedancer.

So you have your super charged....hit RB+LB...go invisible...and there's no time limit to it? You can just keep going invisible over and over, and the super never gets depleted?

No. Your super depletes at a set rate just like it would on a Sunsinger. I don't know the exact duration, probably 10 seconds or so for your super meter to run out.

Ok. What did Witty mean by no cool down? From my limited remembering, aren't all supers basically 15 seconds long? Then the modifiers or equipment level perks sometimes adding additional length?

I read that as you can go invisible multiple times during the ~10 seconds the super is active... So you could in theory: Super, invis, attack, invis again...
Not that I really know having only a babby blade dancer and never having faced Crota. I just peek at this thread because it pops up and I MUST look at all new posts on the Destiny board. >,>

When you're using your super, you can reuse the Vanish ability as often as you want until your super meter runs out. That's what Witty meant.

Sorry for the confusion. When I say "as long as the super is up", I mean throughout the duration when your super is active.

Oh ok. So while the super is up, if you fire a weapon, or do something like that, you can become visible again?

Yes, I believe the following activities will break the invisibility: 1) Fire a weapon; 2) Throw a grenade; 3) Melee (unless the melee itself can trigger invisibility); 4) Double jump (I believe. Single jump is fine)

Double jumping with either higher jump or better control does not break invisibility. If it did, there'd be no way to get up to Crota's platform while remaining invisible. Using Blink, however, does break invisibility.

Blink breaks everything... Bugs the hell out of me when I do rarely run voidbro because I'm so used to using speedburst glide and reloading in the air for sprint speed reloading. (I run blink on voidwalker because I'm trying to learn it better.)
I'd almost not be surprised if the heavy ammo bug hit you when you blinked too. ;3

I mean, I can only really speak for myself, but on Crota Hard mode, when someone dies, we wipe.
It's a cool find, but is it that practical to survive the Oversoul? Or just wipe and start again?

I've known about this, but it really isn't practical.
