What are creating the split stats (#/#) on some weapons and where's the key located so that we can understand the asterisks behind certain numbers?

Also clearly answers a question I had since beta... In Crucible high RoF sniper rifles are better than the slower higher impact ones, because they all have the same hits to kill. It looks like the same is true of hand cannons as well, though not of scout rifles or auto rifles.
I may have to develop a PvP stash of weapons vs my PvE ones at some point. Right now I'm still light enough on high end weapons I have all my legendaries and exotics on me at all times. ;3

High RoF doesn't necessarily always equate to better guns. Slower firing ARs and LMG's typically shoot better. My opinion.

Among primaries yeah you can totally go pure AR, but honestly all the super and heavy weapon types have a place there. In fact Crucible is pretty much the only place for shotguns. There's not much reason to use any primaries other than AR's though. (A couple of exceptions here and there, and hand cannons can be fun, if difficult. Looks like I might actually have a use for my TDYD which is mostly pretty lame in PvE. I'll have to give it a go for the lulz.)

IMHO shotty in Destiny is already near "perfect" (under the context of a weapon sandbox designed for casual play). Why? Because: a) (As a terrible shotty user) I can't kill crap with them; b) I got killed by them plenty; Usually that's a sign that shotties are balanced, because they are too OP if a) is false, and too UP if b) is false |

For PvE... YUS! Very annoying that shotguns are weaksauce in PvE. For PvP... please no. They are already pretty good in PvP and the 1HK's are frustrating.

Oh hey guys.
I was just gonna post this before bed on here, forgot to do it yesterday.
Glad you guys liked it, I had fun with the colors. Always wanted to make something like this but there were always lots of people who did it with Cod. Destiny however was a different case.
It's not completed yet as I do not have accurate data on things like the pulse rifles, but I can assure you it is in the works.
Also Hawkmoon is best pony.

Well I don't think recoil works the way you described in your reddit post. It really doesn't matter though so I'm not going to worry about it. It would be nice to quantify the recoil but I don't really see that as being practical.
I think spread is a factor that needs to be considered, and I didn't see anything about it in your post either. Should look into if the hipfire spreads are consistent from weapon to weapon and type to type, and look into ADS spread, as there seems to be a bit of it, or perhaps bullet magnetism.
You also don't have information for range, aim assist range, or swap times, but I assume you are working on those.
Also, I'm fairly sure that fusion rifles act like the spartan laser, in that they fire their bolts in a very short burst rather than all at once like a shotgun. This would mean that the recoil affects where your shots are landing.
Nothing big, just nitpicky.

That's why a gun like the Suros is so good. It hits hard, but shoots slow. You can literally put every bullet on an opponents head. The Hardlight? Good luck putting the 3rd or higher bullet on a side of a wall at 20 meters away.
