He's asking for trouble here...
also, from just reading the responses, some people didn't get it.
He doesn't want little things (bank space, glimmer cap) those are all small small potatoes. He wants big ideas.
My 3:
1) Make factions matter: doing work and gaining rep with one faction, should decrease faction rep with other factions. So if I'm doing work for Dead Orbit, it might piss off New Monarchy. Not doing Crota bounties after a week might piss off eris and I'll lose rank.
2) Make races and genders matter; race abilities (ie: exo's being robots have +2 mobility, humans learn faster, etc etc) and gender abilities (ie: males tougher, females more disciplined) I agree with AngryJoe: the character creation options in Destiny is shockingly basic and simple
3) Allow jumpships to access the vault and tower to get bounties (but not turn them in) and allow jumpships to be damaged at random upon planet entry (if the Cabal are that powerful, then there's no way they don't have some sort of planetary defense that allows them to shoot down/destroy my jumpship. Or if it takes a lot of damage, 150 spinmetal at the shipyard will be what it takes... and some glimmer

I'm down with making factions matter for sure. But while the increase/decrease thing makes some sense RPwise, I find it kind of counter to the Spirit of Destiny. Destiny is all about building one thing up to move on to the next thing, and I kind of like that you can unlock them all, eventually. It only takes a quick item switch to swap between them as well. Clearly we're supposed to work on multiple factions. I do think their armor should be slightly better than Vanguard, for the extra effort. Same light level, just slightly better stats. Granted, by the time you've gotten your Vanguard armor you can skip that and go strait to raiding. Maybe each faction should offer 1 36 light item at rank 4 or 5. And a different item on each one so you could technically reach 32 without the raid, but with MUCH grinding. I think that's fair. Not that you really need to hit the level cap if you aren't playing the raids. It wouldn't exactly be a shortcut either if you had to level up all three factions to do it. I would like to see more lore tied to the gameplay with these. How about some faction specific missions and/or bounties?
I'm not on board with races either. I'd like to see the races be a bit more differentiated, especially once the helmets are on. (Maybe even, oh hark, some helmets that don't completely cover our face.) But I rather like that it's merely and aesthetic and thus personal choice. When you add stat modifiers then people like me feel obligated to min/max the best race for X. It would be nice if it had some other effect, though. NPC's with differing opinions, slightly different cutscenes, ect...
Putting our vault in our ship seems like it makes sense to me. After all the ship docks with the tower so even if we're in the tower the ship is technically stowed inside thus the vault terminals still make sense. I don't know about bounties, though. Picking up bounties without being able to turn them in seems fairly pointless. I fill my bounty slots every time unless there just aren't any of the right flavor (PvE/PvP) left. I could do without the damage as well. Random damage seems like nothing but an excuse for us to waste resources to repair them. Unless there's some gameplay tied to it I don't want ships to take damage or wear out in any way. Though it would be cool if some of the ships you can buy show signs of battle damage. When it comes to ships I want two things. First, I want to collect and/or craft modular parts and build custom ships. This would be great even with ships in their current state of being nothing more than a showpiece. But it would be amazing. I think you should have to collect schematics for the modular parts. You also collect ship shaders (or use the standard ones). Then you spend some resources and an optional shader to build a modular component. Then put the compatible components together and you get a new ship that you designed! The second thing I want from ships is to bring them more into the game. I'd kinda like to see my ship come pick me up when I go to orbit. How about when we go on patrol we get to select a drop location (within allowed landing zones). And of course ultimately... the space fighter combat expansion... It can work. Just look at how Star Wars Galaxies started out as just another land based MMORPG then added ships and space combat to the game. And Bungie already did space combat in Halo: Reach. It was limited, but it reminded me a lot of Wing Commander, and it was fun. Imagine that in Destiny, but with your own ship! Now imagine doing that gives you access to the Reef! So much that could be done there. I'd pay more than $10 for that.

I kinda view it as in an wildwest/wanted DoA wanted poster. To collect the reward, you have to bring in the body, dead or alive. So while the Tower can "email" your ship the bounties, you should still go to tower as proof of completion. 2) Random damage/wear and tear should be standard. We're flying through space here... we're flying into hostile territories that want to kill us... why is it so hard to believe that our pristine glorious ships shouldn't get a nick or chip or a shell in the engine? Furthermore, where do they go when they drop us off? If they're hovering in the atmosphere, shouldn't they get damaged? 3) what else are we going tO do with the stacks of spinmetal that Bungie has conditioned us like Pavolvian dogs to get? Delete them? why would we spend marks to buy mats? Here's why: "Sorry guardian, yer ship can't to go mars because your jump drive is damaged... 50 RI to fix it... what? No iron? that'll cost you _____"

Not only that, you now are forced to pay X materials or glimmer to "fix" said RNG. That's awful. What happens if you're low/out of the requested material? Pay glimmer? OK, what if you don't have enough glimmer? Pay in marks...? What's next? Guns degrade as you use them and you have to have the Gunsmith repair them, costing you more materials? Congratulations, you just doubled the game's grind factor. Actually, this is bound to happen now. Bungie loves them some grind.

Congratulations, you just doubled the game's grind factor. Actually, this is bound to happen now. Bungie loves them some grind. It will happen for sure. And it does make sense to repair goods... total sense. In fact, it was one of my favourite elements of some MMORPG's I played... a 3 story dude just hit you in the face and you're pretty helmet doesn't take a scratch? Bull$hit. A big ass boss wizard and her cronies are arc nuking the $hit out of me... and my pretty little warlock robes don't get singed or burned? Bull$hit. I know we're supposed to be in a Golden age with 300 year lifespans and terraforming, but I'm sorry... if a son of a alien god OHK's you with a sword that's twice your size, your pretty little shell that was protecting your then-living corpse, should be torn in two. Maybe not drop your light level, but your defense and stat modifiers should take a kicking if you do. If you take a massive amount of damage, you should be able, in mission, to deploy your ghost, and use 15 spinmetal to fix your helmet (as an example) Same thing with your ship: you fly into a massive warzone scott free without damage? It still boggles my mind that 1) you can do that, and 2) that mission beacons are just sitting there, waiting to be taken... while 5 bad guys are just scratching their nuts... missions should be access from the computer of your ship imho. Missions shouldn't be a blinking icon amongst mindless morons waiting for you. If I can be on my sparrow being shot at and Holliday back at the tower sends me a message wanting me to scan something, then Holliday can send that to me in my ship as a "Oh, since you're on mars, scan these 6 things for me" We (the royal we, not the specific we) bitch about nothing to do... we bitch about how we have all these mats just sitting there... we bitch that ascendent mats are useless now that Crota came out... we complain about having all these coins and all these motes and nothing to spend it on... we bitch about being forced to grind in the game... ... and then we bitch about things we could actually spend them on.

I mean yeah, I get it, and the mechanic makes sense from a realism perspective. I just don't think it makes sense from a fun perspective. I had enough "fun" with that mechanic in Oblivion to know that I don't really care to ever have to deal with a damage/repair mechanic again LOL. I'd rather see them implement some actual new content than add a mechanic like that which forces us to grind more on the current content.

No exactly three but:
Move the DLC to a separate rotation so vanilla players aren't shut out of the game when DLC is in rotation. Even DLC users are getting fed up with having to do Omnigul too frequently including me.
How about displaying when Vanguard Mentor Missive is given to Guardians? Kind of tedious that it's usually bounties for Thorn, Bad Juju and Invective when I have a crap ton of fusion rifles ready for the Pocket Infinity bounty. If the Gunsmith sold them more frequently, there'd be no need for players to stockpile them in their vault.
Remove the cap on the number of ammo synthesis packs take per slot in the vault and inventory. They did this with the telemetries and you can have over 1000 Ascendant Shards in a single slot.
Make the Gunsmith actually, you know, smith guns so you can change the perks and elements on special and heavy weapons with perks and elemental changes having a set price.[/common sense]
Move all Sparrow upgrades to the Shipwright.[/common sense]
Remove shaders from ranking up to being purchasable again (during Alpha). People only rank up Dead Orbit for their shaders.
Give a guaranteed legendary weapon or armour (split 50:50) for ranking up a faction to make bounties worthwhile.
Increase the Glimmer cap since you are punished for running three characters and give bounties Glimmer architects based on the destination, e.g. 10 House Banners for a mission on Earth.
Give more Glimmer for completing a game of PvP.
Give Tess something to do.
More exotic weapon bounties like The Thorn. These are earned.

You guys realize that talking about your wishes here won't be seen by Bungie, right? Like any of ours would be realistic. I saw Hawk's suggestion of Horde and if Bungie do that and make it as tedious as some of the Nightfalls I will personally fly to Washington and force them to play Horde on Gears of War 3 on insane difficulty on Rustlung or Trenches with the Gunkers spawning at wave 50 and tell them, in the words of Crow, "Good luck".

Bungie can do a good horde mode, though. They did it before with firefight. I played more of that in Reach than I did the competitive multiplayer.
