Did anybody else think this game looked pretty interesting? I see some similarities to Chivalry and in the first video they mention an old PS game (Bushido Blade) as a form of past referenced similarity. Anyways, it peeked my interest and wondered if it did the same for anyone else.
Same gameplay footage, but different type of commentary -- from those who were actually controlling the characters.

Saw the trailer earlier. One word HALFSWORDING Step in the right direction at least. There's a lot of unrealistic stuff, but I don't think that's much of a problem considering the emphasis on footwork / stances / strike and riptose etc.

yeah, it looks cool to me. I played Chivalry a bit and liked it, but this looks a lot more fun. I normally don't really like this 3rd person fighting game style though, but this interests me a bit.
The AI controlled units look like a cool idea too

FOR HONOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRR
By far the best element is the lock-on combat. The step-style (ala Jedi Knight II) and mouse shift movement style (Chivalry, War of the Roses, Mount&Blade) of directing your attacks were dumb, and this is exactly what I've envisioned for a good duel style of combat. It looks fast and most importantly the attack animations don't look like they're just bopping one another with baseball bat swings.
Might be cool.
