What about PoE armors and weapon of the week? Are they worth buying?

He's selling helmets this week. Warlock is 60 INT + 65 STR, Titan is 113 DIS, Hunter is 117 DIS. Perks on all three are the same -- melee energy restored by grenade hits, more super from non-guardian kills, and increased recovery and super recharge when fighting Fallen in the PoE. All worth buying IMO.
The weapon is a scout rifle. I haven't checked closely but it's kinetic damage and it's probably safe to assume it's garbage like most of the other PoE weapons.

Consider I have 0 armor core and not sure whether and how many PoE 32 I can run this week, I'll have to prioritize.
Titan's is likely to be my top choice because I don't have a 42 light legendary Titan helm yet, and I would like to have level 34 loadout with non-helm exotic; Tough call between Warlock and Hunter. Hunter also needs a 42 legendary helm, while the Warlock offer has better stats roll;

I would say titan needs non exotic 42 helmets the least. You should be using Helm of the saint in high end PvE content anyway, and in PvP being lvl 33 is not a big deal.

hebbnh is incorrect, the Warlock helmet has Cabal, the other two are Fallen. His assumption about the Scout Rifle is correct, it is a low impact, high recoil piece of garbage like the Dead Orbit one. wittyscorpion if I were you I would prioritize doing the level 32 over all of the other content if your time is limited. It is guaranteed rewards, and will get your character to max level. The 32 this week is Hive-Cabal-Cabal-Hive-Hive. Do the heavy ammo glitch for wave 1 of rounds 1 and 2, and you'll be set with rockets for the entire thing.

Hmmm. Sure as shit, Hawk's right. I could've sworn the Warlock helmet had the same perks as the other two. That's mildly irritating as I wouldn't have bought the damn thing if I'd noticed earlier, and would've rolled a Judgment's chance package instead. Oh well.

Wow - that was the easiest NF ever. 3x in sub 25 minutes. (Rewards were, as usual, worthless but whatever.)

Lvl 34 PoE boss is a c*** That is all. Yep. You can't always look for the Eye because you are being shot all over the place, so you take cover and don't find it in time because you need to stay close together to get the Jailbraker bonus if you do kill it before the detainment shields arrive. Or you can burn him down using Ward of Dawn and three Gjallarhorns before the detainment shields arrive, or two Titans with two Gjallarhorns and a Truth will just do it too. I'm not going to bother with this boss again due to the lack of checkpoints, or if I get the Gjallarhorn.

It's not so much the final boss that I find annoying, it's more the previous two bosses, which are merely time consuming bullet sponges that aren't fun.

Twice, last night, we killed him.... ...only for the bubbles to encircle us, once 'They are dead, you are not...' was heard, causing us to die and back to restart.
FOXTROT that.

It would be interesting if Destiny could try and rework the above equation. Just about every hard encounter in this game is defined by mostly the same formula. Add more bullet sponging to the Boss, while also adding more shit floating around to kill you, while you dump endless bullets.
It would be interesting to see a Boss that doesn't rely on the above formula. A boss that might be killed in only 6 bullets (one per each character), but is blinding fast and very hard to hit. That would be unique. A boss that relies on stealth, that kills with one shot, but can be killed the same way. Any of these would be different...and more fun.

That could so easily be Dredgen Yor and it would be the first content of grimoire actually in the game. If it's a strike boss then Nathan Fillion could do another good intro for it, which would be fitting since he's Cayde-6 in the game.

From the sound/look of the Taken King vidoc thing Bungie released, I expect to see stuff like that in September. They specifically mentioned boss encounters where the environment itself was a threat and more interactive. It's not much a stretch to see bosses where you have to use the environment to your advantage to damage the boss, or at least something outside of the "stand here, dump rockets until dead" mechanics we have now.

They intentionally avoided Strike bosses that require coordination and instead are pure bullet sponges because the Strikes have matchmaking. PoE level 28 is the same way, while the ones without matchmaking have more interesting mechanics and require, or become much easier with coordination between teammates.

Marco where are you . I needed to look at reddit to check the weekly reset data this week. I don't feel like I should post them though, as you have done such a good job in the past with keeping us up to date

One warlock with self res can solve that problem. Yeah. I realise that. We went in overkill with three Titans. It was reset night and we failed miserably the night before too. Stupid of us I know.
