Not sure if all of this was already known to most here, but I found bits of this interview quite informative.

That's a new interview that just came out and we have not had a chance to discuss it here yet. I added to the TTK discussion thread: denkirson.proboards.com/post/215735/threadeLantern: where do you stand on TTK purchase? Wait and see, maybe pick up at discounted price?

wittyscorpion: I'm very likely to get it, but because I'll end up sinking most of my precious gaming time into playing Halo 5 when that releases I'm not planning to purchase it day one. Not to mention, Star Wars Battlefront may be another game I look to put some time into too which would also lessen the need to get TTK immediately; therefore, I'll probably just wait till there's a sale price or price drop before picking it up, but who knows -- sometimes I get antsy and purchase things regardless to price on a whim.

You can hold off on getting it on day 1. We will let you know 1-2 weeks after release whether it is worth getting for players who can't spend a lot of time into this game. That will still give you 4-5 weeks to play it before Halo 5 is out. If you do plan to pick up TTK, then it is the best time to get back to Destiny. From what we've seen so far, Year 1 is like a giant "beta", and TTK is where the complete Destiny experience should be. Game wise, what I most likely end up doing is this: 0) 08/26 - 08/30: Blops3 beta; 1) 09/15 - 10/26: exclusively destiny; 2) 10/27 - mid / end November: primary = Halo, secondary = Destiny; 3) If Blop3 is good and ranked play has decent population, I'll pick it up around the end of November and have a mix of 3 games through the holiday season; 4) Late December: I may play The Division beta a little bit besides the above. No longer think it can be a game for me due to its PRG instead of FPS focus, up to beta to change my mind;

am i missing something here? iw5000, if you have not looked into any TTK news, the Deej interview eLantern posted above is going to be the most effective way to catch up.

$40 in US £40 in UK. WTF?
$62 at today's exchange rate.
I can buy the entire game, all DLC and TTK for £34.95
Bungie. It's wrong.

$40 in US £40 in UK. WTF? $62 at today's exchange rate. I can buy the entire game, all DLC and TTK for £34.95 Bungie. It's wrong. Totally foreign to them, obviously. To get the DLC cheaper, use a billing address in the US. Apparently it works. TTK DLC was actually on sale for £25 for one day but it got changed. If they changed it to £25, I'd have bought it. I mean DLC is usually disproportionately expensive to the retail price of the game, since the cost of games have remained the same over years nominally (a reduction over time due to inflation), but to charge a DLC for close to the retail proce of a game is aggressive especially with the competition in and around of its release. £40 for TTK or £40 for The Witcher 3 or Batman Arkham Knight?
