I'd be down with a Kowloon remake, I always thought it was an underrated map. Just bring back the ziplines and open up some of those upper areas for wall-running.

Latest DLC videos looks good. I am almost excited for the new maps.
I'll go ahead and buy the season pass tonight before The Wife has time to spend my money. LOL

Everyone watch the DLC trailer and watch the player literally one shot/two shot people with the haymaker. Nerf shotguns.

No new gun with this DLC, right? Not that I've seen. But everyone gets to download the DLC because it's embedded in the patch that rolls out tomorrow. Purchasers and Pass holders only unlock it. Good luck ever finding vanilla games after that; seems the DLC will always be there.

If you go into any other old game, if you have DLC installed it's impossible to find a lobby.

Does it say anything about them fixing the map Exodus?
I had time to read patch notes, no mention of Exodus, when I get time I'll surf the web/reddit for this.

So the new DLC maps come out on 2/2 for PS4? And then 3/2 for XBone?
"Go guns up in the world of Black Ops III Multiplayer, with 4 new maps, including Skyjacked, a re-imagining of the fan-favorite, Call of Duty®: Black Ops II multiplayer map Hijacked. The latest installment of Zombies picks up where The Giant left off, with the Origins characters heading to Der Eisendrache on a mission to stop the zombie apocalypse."
I looked around the net, couldn't find any info on the other three maps. Hijacked on BO2 was pretty fun, in terms of maps. A busy map, very lively, making for some great games.
If PS4 people are playing these maps today, what are they like?

MW2 was my bag. For bigger maps I liked Afgan better than Derail unless somebody was mortar firing tubes, though Derail had some good stuff with those buildings. It also had a massive open, but useless field. Honestly there wasn't much point in that field. It wasn't a very good route, had no cover, but also had no decent sightlines. A sniper could post up prone out there miles away, with a huge open area to cover, but would have dick all to shoot at. heh I think it was supposed to be a risky route around the back due to lack of cover, but there really wasn't any reason to do more than skirt the edge of it unless you just wanted to take a really long time to get to the other side of the map for no reason. Still, though... I think Derail would work better than Afgan in BO3. Afgan is mostly 2D despite the elevation changes and too few interior spaces.
I think Favela would be grand. Maybe the best balance between close and long range in MW2 and tons of verticality as well. On top of that you could do lots of wall runs in the interior. I'd love to see it in BO3. It might could use some tweaks. Maybe some more wall runs or something. And there's probably a few locations that would need to be blocked from players getting on top of them.
Personally I'd also kinda like to see Estate, only because I feel like Hunted is an odd cousin to it. Though the main house in Hunted is smaller and the map around is larger and more separated into distinct routes where Estate's exterior was a bit more contained, yet open... if that makes sense. I just loved fighting over the house in CQB with a shotgun and claymores and I do basically the same thing a lot of the time in Hunted. Then again maybe Stronghold is a close analog to Estate. Estate also had several smaller buildings you could trade fire from the main building with. Both Stronghold and Hunted really only have one smaller building you can do that from. hmm... six of one... Might have issues in BO3, though. I'm just curious.
I really miss Skidrow too. It also had a good balance between long range exteriors and a good CQB middle. In BO3 there would be a few more routes for better or worse. I'm not sure there would be any decent wallruns, though.
I also really used to enjoy Highrise and Quarry just because. Highrise I definitely think would be a bit flat in BO3, though. Nowhere near enough verticality and most of the obstacles in the middle could just be jumped over. It also might be too easy to wallrun the sides. Quarry might be a cool guy, though.

Splash and Rise both feel like solid, average sized maps.

Got a few games in yesterday between tornado warnings. Skyjacked is bigger than it was, I still don't know how to play it. Gauntlet, good big map. Splash is pretty. I hope they fix the out of map glitches soon. BTW, the official DenK callout for the pink waterslide is Intestine. Rise, have not play it yet .

Also, in reference to Parks and Rec, the center of Gauntlet is "Ice Town".

One of my lame-o teammates didn't buy the map pack so we've been playing custom games. I'll have to join you for some pubs one of these evenings.

Finally played Rise, and it is a bit of a cluttered mess, but OK. I got a bit better on Gauntlet. I am still lost in all the new maps .

So far, yeah - but then again, with so few maps in the base game, the new maps are a welcome relief.
I still don't understand the spawns on Skyjacked. I do understand that the KRM is nasty on it though.
Rise is probably my favorite so far of the new maps. It allows for both long and short range engagements - I had 30+ kill TDM games with both the Haymaker and with LMGs.
I'm not sure how I feel about Splash yet. I still haven't figured out how I can best play it.
Gauntlet is really big. The two spawn buildings and the street path are very boring visually and in terms of map design, they're all big corridors with 90 degree angles and little to no cover. I think I need to explore ice town a bit more to see if I can safely traverse the middle of the map with any regularity. The map hasn't played poorly so far, it will be interesting to see how it progresses as more players learn the map.

That's how I'm feeling as well. I need more time on Rise and Gauntlet. Splash reminds me of the skate park map from BO2. It's kind of hectic, but has a pretty good flow to it, especially in the OBJ game modes. Skyjacked felt natural to me. The boost jump makes it so much more fun being able to jump directly upstairs and throat punch the dude with the LMG. And the wall run outside is nasty as well.

I think the flank routes crisscrossing the three lanes of Gaunlet combined with the disorientation of not knowing what side of the map I spawned in is killing me.
Hawk, have you tried the wall run under the bridge? I have yet to survive Ice Town long enough to see if it is a good option.
