Recently started to play hardcore in my quest to get dark matter. Understand why some people like hardcore but not my cup of tea.
One thing that is interesting is the meta mainly what is good within hardcore and what not worth using.
Anybody got any tips on snipers in HC and Pistols?
Perk wise Thinking blind eye/cold blooded/hard wired and awareness/dead silence being top tier.
Specialist Vision pulse/Kinetic/Active camo being top tier
Weapons Have no idea but trying to get headshots with pistols and gold the snipers in HC. So far almost done the dakon apart from the killstreaks got 2 left.
Taken a guess Dingo is god like with ICR-1

Sixth Sense, Hard Wired, Awareness/Dead Silence for perks Kinetic Armor for specialist Weapon is whatever you are golding
The only sniper you should try to gold in Hardcore is the Drakon. The rest are best done in core.

Only sniper remotely worth using but still isn't good - Drakon. Assault rifles and LMGs are way better at everything.
The best pistol is the MR6, it has a kind of okay OSK range. The LCAR9 is a decent emergency spray secondary. The RK5 blows.
The god tier guns are the Razorback, HVK and M8A7. They can play aggressively, like the Pharo and Kuda, but they can also compete with the LMGs and slow ARs at range. The ICR with Long Barrel is decent, but the M8 and HVK don't need Long Barrel and shoot faster and the Razorback's recoil is almost as low but it handles absurdly quick.
The best slow guns are the XR-2, MoW, Dingo and Dredge. I hate all of them a lot.
I only play Search and KC. The only perk setup I run is Afterburner, Fast Hands, Blast Suppressor and Dead Silence. Awareness is also excellent but I need Blast Suppressor. Hard Wired is decent if you've been hitting lots of C4/mines/shocks against your current enemies, but I don't run stuff that didn't end up doing anything 95% of the time that I was alive. Blind Eye and Cold Blooded should only be equipped if the enemy streaks warrant it, otherwise both of those perks are trash. Sixth Sense is trash compared to Awareness and/or map knowledge.
Only specialists I run are Kinetic Armor for KC and Overdrive for Search. Vision Pulse, HIVE, Active Camo and Psychosis are okay. I'm playing around with Active Camo a bit lately, slight chance it could become my other specialist for Search.

Considering the sheer number of campers I've run into in Hardcore, I hardly consider Sixth Sense to be trash.

And Blast Supressor in Hardcore? Why waste a Perk slot on a Perk you only get half the benefit of in Hardcore?

And Blast Supressor in Touch Football? Why waste a Perk slot on a Perk you only get half the benefit of in Touch Football? Because that sound aspect is a lot more important in Touch Football. Sixth Sense is a lot weaker without the visuals of knowing which direction to look.

Sixth Sense is a lot weaker without the visuals of knowing which direction to look. Sure, but then not running Awareness diminishes your own ability to detect sound. And I used Sixth Sense as more of a warning alarm than a directional indicator.

Depends on the mode.
HCKC you will get a lot more kills but you run into more score streaks so you may have to change during the game.
For pistol kills: I'd run ghost, hard wired dead silence and awareness and run an Elo and high caliber on the pistol. You can throw in fast hands as well...

Blast suppressor is now tier 1 in hc snd....the meta has changed....everyone has dead silence now and pretty much everyone good uses hardwired so equipment has lost value...
Tier 1 snd hc loadout... blast suppressor, hard wired, footsteps, dead silence and blast suppressor...m8 (I've seen the light after using the xr2 for so long) with quickdraw and stock

How to get Blast Suppressor for free: don't boost.
You can easily do any of the wall runs and use all of the flank routes without boosting. You don't even need to jump to initiate a wall run, just hit the wall at the correct angle. I've gotten quite used to traversing the maps using single jumps and wall runs, no boosting.

If you are checking your corners properly Sixth Sense should never get you a kill/save you a death unless someone is on the floor above/below you, which is a pretty rare situation. Tracker is a fake perk. If you move properly you should get more kills/less deaths without Tracker than with it. Awareness is the only detection perk worth a gosh darn golly gee whiz, but I'm always in the air so Blast Suppressor is a must for me. Might as well talk attachments while we're here. My M8A7 setup is Quickdraw, Stock and Laser. If I had better aim I'd run Quickdraw, Stock and Rapid Fire. If I didn't play so aggressively that most of my firefights were up close I'd run ELO, Quickdraw and Stock. My HVK setup is Quickdraw, Stock and Laser. I'd consider swapping out either Quickdraw or Laser for ELO, Grip or a fifth perk. My Razorback setup is Quickdraw, Laser and Rapid Fire. I'd consider swapping out Laser and/or Rapid Fire for ELO, Grip and/or a fifth perk. How to get Blast Suppressor for free: don't boost. Laser on SMGs is pretty mediocre these days. Also Rapid Fire on the M8? Uh, why?

Laser on SMGs is pretty mediocre these days. Also Rapid Fire on the M8? Uh, why? Laser is the difference between decent hip accuracy and godly hip accuracy. Rapid Fire pushes up the M8's skill ceiling because you can one burst an enemy faster. Doesn't matter much one on one, but if you have a lot of targets to hit as fast as possible it definitely makes a difference. I'm surprised you didn't question Rapid Fire on the Razorback. That attachment sucks on automatics.

Try playing without ADSing for a whole match. You probably won't do half bad with a Laser.

The Razorback only has half the ROF. Can't afford to miss much.

I use the Laser and Rapid Fire on my Razorback -- needs all the help it can get, really.

Due to doing pistols in HC found myself running nothing but ghost over any other perk. Mainly play solo and teammates can often be unhelpful. How to get Blast Suppressor for free: don't boost. I've gotten quite used to traversing the maps using single jumps and wall runs, no boosting. This habit started to do very useful may start doing this habit in core once made the switch back. Do love how Treyarch has done wall running Next to impossible to check your corners in most modes due to the lack of time however in SnD could be different. From my experience unless the person is trash most likely dead if they are corner tactical loitering.

I can't wrap my head around people that choose to still use blast suppressor when the answer is as simple as picking how and when to boost. The awareness/dead silence combo is too powerful not to use, especially in hardcore. The only other third perk worth using is engineer but you can easily replace that with hard wired.

If you're in the air and they're on the ground you should have a massive advantage unless you've been hit by a shock/flash/concussion.

I use rapid fire on most guns tbh, ~6% boost > 0% I drop it if I need more points but I rarely do
