So I've been along time lurker of the forums for some time now, so I feel it's time I contribute something. So back in bo1and bo2 there was away to influence the spawns on very small to medium maps using sentry guns. In bo2 I figured out a way to consistently control the spawns in tdm and kc in my favor using a guardian and sentry(easy to obtain streaks.) With the lastest patches to tmd spawns in bo3 this process works flawlessly on small to medium maps(haven't re-tested every map yet..)
You are my bro, bro.

Sorry I know this is crude editting...using my phone but this is the basic principles behind starting the trap on nuketown. Get the sentry or guardian. And place one behind the wall on your current spawn and one in the corner opposite of the wall. The only downside is that the active times for the guardian and sentry have been nerfed so you are going to have to continuously re-up them to hold the trap. Here's how it worked in bo2(will get a video showing it on bo3 soon! Just a small edit I've re-tested the following maps: Combine, Exodus and Breach working flawlessly!

Spawn flipping has never been a sufficient mechanic in CoD, they just refuse to do anything about it. Granted they're probably afraid players would balk at not being able to IMMEDIATELY jump back into a gunfight, and they're probably right about that. Though, I still feel like something could be done to improve it.
Personally I much prefer when things are actually stable. When you have your team's side and the enemy's side of the map and those sides never flip. Of course you have to build mechanics to counter spawn trapping, but hell it's not like spawn flipping works very well for that. It's clearly possible to trap anyway. But meh... It's CoD so it'll probably never change. Too bad we can't make our own maps...
