Notes- Each plot represents 1000 simulations of the weapon being fired. Each simulation represents a 15-round burst (or fewer if the weapon has a lower capacity). Shots 1 - 3 are in blue, shots 4 - 6 are in green, shots 7 - 9 are in yellow, shots 10 - 12 are in orange, and shots 13 - 15 are in red.
- Grid lines are spaced one degree apart on all plots - this is so you can directly compare them - and the axes indicating zero degrees are drawn in yellow.
- Only attachment combinations which materially affect ViewKick, GunKick (while ADS) and the time between each shot are included. (The Ballistic CPU is included with the sniper rifle plots as an exception.)
- For semi-automatic weapons, the firerate is assumed to be either the firecap itself or 625 RPM, whichever is lower.
- For the burst-fire weapons, the actual delay between the last shot of the previous burst and the next shot is assumed to be the greater of the following:
- 0.096 seconds, less the time since the last trigger pull (assumes the player cannot consistently pull the trigger faster than 625 RPM, the same assumption made for semi-automatic weapons), or
- The actual burst delay of the weapon plus its fireTime and fireDelay.
- The inaccuracy score stated in each plot is a measure of how far from the origin (in degrees) the weapon will take on average over each simulation, not necessarily the "size" of the plot. Lower is better, with zero being a perfect score.

Aw, the Vesper looks like a heart sometimes. Great job. Thanks a million.

Thanks for all the hard work! Can SMGs have thermal on PC or something, I noticed you tested them here. I like how you used the Haymakers rapid fire plot for the thumbnail here, i thought that was a very unusually hard nerf for rapid fire accuracy.

The Haymaker has a lot of kick per shot, so the slight decrease in recenter time yields a significant recoil increase.

I think he just ran the simulations from the formulas for thermals on SMGs. He said he'd remove them.
That haymaker RF plot is interesting. It's rather regular though, so methinks one might be able to actively counter it without too much effort, though with that new code I guess it could make tracking a moving target a lot more difficult.

ya, the difference in tracking a target to the left would be very different from tracking a target to the right. Kinda want to try it and see the effect. Although if you are aiming with your shotgun in H C you are doing it wrong.

Yeah, this was my first run using code that auto-generates attachment options. Mistakes were made. And once I get into upload-select-paste zombie mode, I tend to overlook things. (Next evolution: abuse imgur API to do the uploads automatically....)

Hell is there ever a reason to aim the Haymaker unless you're sprinting and using gungho? That's the only time I aim the KRM or Brecci. Argus I could understand.

ADS is worthless on the Brecci and the Haymaker. The Argus is the only shotgun you should ever ADS with.

Yes. I only ever use it on the Brecci if I'm sprinting since I run gungho and I don't keep ADSing I just use it for the instant 1st shot so I don't have to wait on the sprint out time. Otherwise the TTK from sprint is a death sentence on the Brecci. Granted the gungho sprint ADS instant shot thing is much more of a thing with the KRM. I love sprinting around Skyjacked with it and instantly dropping anybody I put my crosshairs on. I usually run Ripper on it too, though honestly it doesn't get as much use since I stick to interiors where range isn't a factor and the shotgun is just faster. I only wind up with mebbe 2 or 3 ripper kills. heh Mebbe should just run bees...
I suppose I could try heatwave or something... I'm trying to think what would actually be useful for my playstyle on Skyjacked and all of the weapons would actually just be worse than the KRM. The flamer would be fun, but always gets me killed. I do kinda like psychosis, but don't need it on skyjacked the way I play. Everything is too close in and it's really only useful when you know an enemy is watching for you. Generally I can stun and 1HK with the KRM if I'm in that situation on that map. Maybe the scanner. Or maybe glitch if I wanted to chase someone down outside then glitch back in if I take shots. Ripper occasionally does save me if I miss my first shot, though.

This confirms what I've felt the whole time. The Weevil has way too much recoil to shoot that slow. Also, I've never really noticed that the Kuda favors the right more than the left. Sidenote: I wonder what the vesper would've looked like before the nerf . Too bad we can only speculate.

It seems like Grip always reduces the inaccuracy score by 23%.

Comparing AW and blops3, it's really evident how much more recoil guns have in blop3.

Welp, time to remake these I guess. I'm not usually one for conspiracies but I think Trollarch did this one on purpose.

the pharo has alot more spread in the chart than it feels like ingame I'm going to do an update this weekend (probably), so I'll double-check my data and how my code handles the Pharo. I ripped out a lot of old code to handle timing state variables better and it's possible I goofed something up. (And don't forget that the plot assumes you can spam the trigger at 625 RPM.)
