Gotcha. I definitely agree, I prefer the games that had realistic weapons. I miss my ACR...

Yeah I have a hard time recognizing the guns in BO3. They are slowly getting more familiar to me, but generally they are all just another fictional gun to me so it doesn't stick well. With the others it pops immediately since I'm already familiar with them.

So my guess is the title plus including throwback "remaster" stuff from COD4 implies some sort of time travel based plot...

They also just released a video interviewing some developers But there's nothing about the new game in the video whatsoever so don't get your hopes up.

The latest CoDs are just terribly casual Hasn't that been the case since COD4?

Strange not to see a bunch of people jumping around with exosuits or jet thrusters. I wonder if that's not in the game, or they just aren't showing it yet?

Strange not to see a bunch of people jumping around with exosuits or jet thrusters. I wonder if that's not in the game, or they just aren't showing it yet? From the trailer video, they'll have a lot more Zero-G time, a couple scripted starship sequences, and a grapple hook. Will the hook be used only in space? If it's also available on the ground, Infinite could be getting "long range mantling" to scale buildings. And long range melee attacks.

It'll probably be a "boots on the ground" game. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure BO2 took that concept as far as CoD could take it.

Space. Looks like CoD4 will be the game to put the hours in.

I dunno... for all the talk of space this looks less pewpewpew than I was expecting... Still far more interested in the remaster, though.

Space. Looks like CoD4 will be the game to put the hours in. Looks like Titanfall 2 will be the game to put the hours in. Already played COD4 to death, and I still do boot it up from time to time, it looks incredible with maxed graphics settings. Not worth blowing all that money on a stripped-down, microtransaction-locked "remaster" of the game. I heard they are only releasing half of the maps that the original had? The other half probably being locked in space-COD DLC packs.

Hasn't that been the case since COD4? Cod has been the textbook example of casual shooter since it became popular honestly I completely agree. It just wasn't this casual. At least before SnD was pretty competitive and for teams, demo was fun.

I'm probably in a tiny minority, but as long as IW has balanced guns and decent maps I don't really care whether it's set in the future, past, time travel, whatever.

I agree, but I only care if the game is fun for me, doesnt really matter if it's balanced or considered good. I think futuristic settings can be good too because they allow more creativity than past/present. I wouldn't mind the next game to be set in the past though, especially since the last few games have been futuristic

Right - I'm guessing the developers had similar thought process, and opted for this strategy so they could kind of have it both ways.

AW made me dislike the future pew pew jumpy jumpy combat, I mean there is a reason I play this game rather than firing up my old copy of Quake 2. But BO3 was executed well I think so I am now more open to these future war settings. They can be done right.

charlieintel.com/2016/05/05/activision-ceo-responds-dislikes-infinite-warfare-trailer/Future jumpy pew pew combat basically confirmed. “Secondly, of course we know that there are people in our community who are nostalgic for the boots on the ground style gameplay, and that’s why we made Modern Warfare Remastered. But we also have millions of people in our community who want to have new innovative experiences in the game each year, and Infinite Warfare is going to deliver that."

New innovative experiences? You mean copying what sci-fi shooters have been doing for years? What a joke.

What if it's an ultra-retro CoD where everyone has rollerskates and disco music on?

Honestly? A World War One shooter with this level of production value has never been done before. I'd be surprised if it wasn't a smash hit.

BF1 Trailer most liked trailer of all time. Space Cod trailer most disliked trailer of all time. Yes, you read that correct.
