So, what's your take on these and have things treated you well?
I'm leaning to a PS4 Cinch, with it's remapping and rear four-button configuration being the major selling points. Time and again I felt held back by having to move my thumbs for quick presses, so this would keep me above my game.
Conversely, I only briefly considered getting a Scuf; between the awkward paddles being limited to two inputs and the ill-existent, if not heavily biased towards pro-gamer customer support, that doesn't really help my incentive much.
Oh and you could also talk about the Steam Controller I guess.

I had a Scuf for my Xbox360 and LOVED it.
Now I have a Xbox One and i'm really dying to get either an Elite controller or a Scuf (I THINK I've heard that the Elite controllers are better, but would love this confirmed by anyone here).
One thing I can say is that the xbox One controller is WAY worse, quality-wise, than the xbox360 controller. I have 3 of them now because 2 of them have either a button or a stick that doesn't always respond. That's terrible.

GodMars You have both a scuf and cinch, don't you? Yeah. I prefer the paddles on the Scuf to the buttons on the Cinch. I find the button placement to be a bit off from where I would like them, and find their use slightly awkward. That said, I'd prefer buttons. Battle Beaver Customs is a newer reputable controller customizer that allows you to choose the location of the buttons. i would probably chose that path over Cinch. I recently had my Scuf's right paddle switch repaired for $19.95, which included shipping. They have a reputation for breaking down, but I found the repair cost to be very agreeable.

I treated my Scuf 4PS with such care, now, after 4 months of use, the left paddle works inconsistently, leading to frustrating moments in-game. Also, when my 4PS arrived it didn't appear as a brand new controller should; it looked rather dirty, and there was a small chip on the left shoulder. I was quite surprised tbh, I've treated my 2011 X360 Scuf in exactly the same careful way, and it still works perfectly.
I should mention I live in the UK

Their reputation is definitely something less than stellar these days. I don't personally know anyone who owns one who hasn't had an issue with their SCUF at one point or another. If you're unlucky it comes with problems. You want a SCUF without any issues, you need to be a sponsored player or team.

Looking back to this, it's nice for Beaver Battle Customs to not cost a fucking fortune. Stellar build quality as well, apparently. It's looking to be our winner.

I might try them. My only concern with buttons over paddles is the smaller area to press. With the paddles, I don't press where intended, I press closer to the middle of the paddle as I find it more comfortable. I would assume with buttons you have far less flexibility in that respect. But it's great BBC allow you to choose the location.

How do you understand where those locations are though? High? Low? Lower? I have no clue where those will be!
They should create some kind of printout which you can wrap around your original controller to show it where the buttons will be.
